Tommy Lee Jones To Play General Douglas MacArthur
Tommy Lee Jones has signed on to appear in the role of General Douglas MacArthur in director Peter Webber’s new period drama “The Emperor.” The film will center on MacArthur’s leadership in the weeks following the atomic blasts in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Jones will star opposite Matthew Fox, who stars as an advisor to MacArthur who is an expert in Japanese culture. Together the pair decide the fate of the country’s Emperor Hirohito. The film is expected in theaters sometime next year.
