A
jury will decide if arresting Mel Gibson for drunken driving in 2006
got a sheriff’s deputy in trouble with his superiors. James Mee, who is
Jewish, claims his Christian superior officers told him to take out
Gibson’s anti-Semitic remarks from his arrest report. Mee says he was
then ostracized and passed over for promotion. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s
Department has denied doing anything wrong. It says Mee was
insubordinate and was disciplined just like anyone else would’ve been.
