George
Lucas is urging people to send Hollywood a message by seeing his
upcoming movie about the Tuskegee Airmen. Lucas says he had all kinds of
trouble getting “Red Tails” made because it had no major white stars in
it. Lucas says if the film does well at the box office, studio
executives in Hollywood will see they were wrong and there would be more
such projects in the future. Lucas held a screening of the movie at the
White House over the weekend for President Obama. Some surviving
members of the original Tuskegee Airmen were among those who got to see
the movie, which opens Friday.
