‘X-Factor’ Dumps Host Steve Jones
“X Factor’s” inaugural host Steve Jones won’t be back for Season 2, he tweeted yesterday. “I won’t be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I cant [sic] complain as I’ve had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show,” wrote the 34-year-old Wales native. The U.S. version of the show was a challenging task for Jones, who struggled during live episodes which were emotionally charged and often spontaneous. He also drew criticism for his handling of sensitive exits by the likes of Lakoda Rayne and Rachel Crow.

Kermit And Piggy Fire Back At Fox News

Kermit And Piggy Fire Back At Fox News
A few weeks ago, Dan Gainor of the conservative Media Research Center told a Fox Business host that “The Muppets” movie with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy had a liberal agenda. “It’s amazing how far the left will go …to manipulate your kids to …give them the anti-corporate message,” Gainor said, adding that Hollywood is trying to brainwash kids. Kermit and Miss Piggy recently responded to the accusations. Kermit said, “Oh, it’s so dangerous! No, it’s a funny thing. They were concerned about us having some prejudice against oil companies. And I can tell you that’s categorically not true. And, besides, if we have problems with oil companies, why would we have spent the entire film driving around in a gas-guzzling Rolls-Royce?” Miss Piggy chimed in, “It’s almost as laughable as accusing Fox News of, you know, being news.” Kermit then said, “Boy, that’s going to be all over the Internet.” He was right!

Trump To Build Cemetery Near Golf Course
Donald Trump is seeking to build a private cemetery near his Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey’s Bedminster Township. The 1.5-acre site would become the exclusive final resting place for wealthy club members. A section of the plot would be saved for Trump and his next of kin, said Ed Russo, a Trump consultant. “It’s a very personal decision, but he’s considering it,” Russo said. “This is really about members but we do plan to set something aside for Mr. Trump and his family.” Trump is seeking to change how family members of avid golfers are able to honor loved ones’ wishes of having their ashes dispersed on golf courses. “It’s one thing to be buried in a typical cemetery,” Russo said, “but it’s another if you’re buried alongside the fifth fairway of Trump National, where golfers will hold memberships over many generations.” Russo said Trump is about two months away from submitting an application to the state of New Jersey, which must approve every new cemetery.

I believe bisexuality is not a choice, it is a fact. What I have ‘chosen’ is to be in a gay relationship.”

Demi Moore’s 911 call was released over the weekend, which includes friends desperately trying to get help for the actress who was admitted into the hospital after suffering a seizure. A female described Moore as “shaking and burning up” and not breathing normally. The operator apparently asked the female if Moore had been “having any issues lately,” to which she replied that Moore had. A caller also reports that the actress had “smoked something,” although the actual name of the substance was removed from the released call. It was described as “not marijuana, but similar to incense” and Moore was said to be “semi-conscious…barely.” Moore’s health scare has been surrounded by multiple reports that she had been inhaling nitrous oxide. Her rep stated that she was being hospitalized for “exhaustion.” This latest development comes after a wave of speculation and media attention following Moore’s split from Ashton Kutcher. Lindsay Lohan is finally responding to a lawsuit accusing her of attacking a former Betty Ford Center worker. According to TMZ, attorneys for the 25-year-old actress filed their response in the Riverside County Superior Court in California on January 10th. Not only does she deny that she is at fault, Lindsay wants the court to force her accuser to pay her court costs, plus any other relief the judge deems appropriate. In July, Dawn Bradley filed a lawsuit accusing Lindsay of assault and battery for an alleged incident she says took place in December 2010 when she worked at the Betty Ford Center. At the time Lohan was receiving court-ordered treatment for substance abuse. Dawn claims the actress attacked her when she tried to give her a breathalyzer test after Lohan allegedly left the property to drink alcohol. But Lindsay claims that Dawn – who was subsequently fired from her job for talking to TMZ – provoked the incident. She also says that anything she may have done was done in self-defense.

Actor Commits Suicide After Euthanizing Pet - Thoughts?

Actor Commits Suicide After Euthanizing Pet
Actor Nick Santino committed suicide after putting his healthy pit bull mix down due to intense pressure to get rid of the dog from his condo association. Grief overcame Santino, a cast member on “All My Children” and “Guiding Light,” after he euthanized his dog, Rocco, on his 47th birthday. “Today I betrayed my best friend and put down my best friend,” Santino wrote in a suicide note, said close friend Stuart Sarnoff. Santino had rescued Rocco from a shelter several years ago. In 2010, Santino’s building changed their dog regulations, including a ban on pit bulls. Since Santino was already a dog owner living in the building with his pit bull, the new rule didn’t apply to him. Neighbors reportedly made life difficult for the actor and his dog. He was allegedly threatened with a $250 fine for having a barking dog, but according to neighbor Kevan Cleary, “the dog was not a barker.” His last call was to a former girlfriend hours before police discovered his body on Wednesday. The actor had overdosed on pills. Rocco has been cremated and Santino’s sister said the family is holding off on funeral arrangements until the dead dog’s ashes are brought home, saying, “They’ll be buried together.”

Star Jones Making ‘View’ Appearance
It’s apparent enough water has flown under the bridge for Barbara Walters and Star Jones to reunite for one day. “The View” announced yesterday that Jones will appear on the daytime talk show on February 22nd to promote an awareness campaign about heart disease among women. Walters and Jones had a falling out in 2006 when Jones, one of the five original co-hosts of the show, left “The View.” ABC decided not to renew her contract and Jones took Walters by surprise by announcing on June 27th that she would be leaving the show. That exit came more quickly than expected. Walters wouldn’t allow her back the next day. Walters later said that Jones had compelled her co-hosts to lie for her by not revealing that Jones had undergone gastric bypass surgery while on “The View.” Jones took her own shots, criticizing Walters for writing an autobiography that revealed details of an affair. The woman later had something serious in common. Both underwent open heart surgery to repair faulty heart valves within two months of each other in 2010. Now the two are on speaking terms and Jones has agreed to return for an appearance on “The View.”

George Lucas Proven Right

The new film about the Tuskegee Airmen is flying high at the box office. “Red Tails” finished second in its first weekend in theaters. The film starring Cuba Gooding Junior and Terrence Howard took in $19.1 million – much more than expected – about twice as well as its own studio, 20th Century Fox, had thought it might. The second-place finish justifies the battle executive producer George Lucas put up to get the film made. He complained that Hollywood balked at making the movie because it has a mostly black cast. A grass roots effort to get people to support “Red Tails” and positive word-of-mouth helped the film.

Redford says “they come in with their own agendas to use the festival to piggyback their agendas.” He points out “it’s a free country and there’s nothing we can do about that ... but we have to work harder and harder to point to the fact that this is about the filmmakers. This is about their work and showing their work to you.” The Sundance Film Festival continues through Sunday.

Cast members of the next “Star Trek” movie say the momentum for the project is beginning to build now that director J.J. Abrams has cleared his decks. Abrams and the rest of the crew from the most-recent “Star Trek,” led by Chris Pine, got together last week near Los Angeles to get re-acquainted and start the process of learning their lines and getting wardrobes together. Principal photography recently began on the new film, which had been scheduled for release this year but was moved to 2013 due to Abrams’ commitment to last year’s “Super 8.” Bruce Greenwood, who plays Capt. Christopher Pike, said the get-together at a coffee shop at the Sony lot in Culver City was filled with handshakes and back slaps and an overall eagerness to get back to work.

Jon Peters Sued Over Unpaid Kennel Bill

“Batman” producer Jon Peters has been sued after allegedly failing to pay $25,000 in kennel fees. Peters’ ex-wife reportedly dropped the star’s two dogs off at the California K-9 Academy back in June 2010 while he was in the midst of moving into a new house. Peters’ assistant picked up his Akita, named Bear, 200 days later, but the movie mogul’s Doberman Pinscher, Beau, was left behind and later spent more than one-year at the facility. Kennel officials eventually requested permission to sell the pooch if the producer didn’t want to reclaim him and they quickly found Beau a new home. However, K-9 Academy has since taken legal action against Peters, claiming he neglected to settle up and cover the cost of his pets’ vet care, boarding and training.

Rosie O’Donnell Defends Killing Shark

Environmentalists are not happy with Rosie O’Donnell after a photo of Rosie standing alongside the carcass of a hammerhead shark during a fishing trip with Mark "The Shark" Quartiano in Miami was released. Quartiano, a well-known fisherman in Florida, posted the photo on his website, which started to gain criticism due to the fact that these sharks are an endangered species and that the state banned the catch of three species of hammerheads starting January 1st. The photos were from a family fishing trip taken years ago. But O’Donnell still caught heat on Twitter and she tried to clear up the situation. "i love the ocean – i am on it daily in miami – chill people – really – my family fishes," she tweeted yesterday. She added, "we were not going after any species in particular … and it wasnt endangered til 11 days ago.”

Hulk Hogan’s trademark mustache might come to an end. Hogan is planning to shave the classic handlebar for an upcoming movie. "I’m getting ready to go on some auditions," Hogan said. "I’m getting ready to shave my head and my mustache. So that should be scary.” The leader of the American Mustache Institute, Dr. Aaron Perlut is extremely upset over the news, telling TMZ, "Not only would the removal of his lower nose foliage cause angels in heaven to die and fall to earth – as is written in biblical texts – but it would send a poor message to young people of Mustached American descent who wish to embrace the Mustached American experience." He added, "We do hope that Mr. Hogan, for whom we have great reverence, reconsiders shaving his upper lip shading device as millions of those he has inspired would be greatly let down, leading to mass chaos and deep bouts of depression in the Mustached American community.”

Women Sentenced For Stealing $1 Million From Tae Bo Creator

Two women were sentenced yesterday to 33 months in federal prison for stealing more than $1.1 million from Billy Blanks, the founder of the Tae Bo exercise program, federal officials said. Rhenee Sharmell Foster and Demetria Foster Gutierrez pleaded guilty last year to making unauthorized withdrawals from the bank account of Blanks’ company, BG Star Productions, more than 60 times. In addition to the prison time, the women were ordered to pay $1,119,000 in restitution and are barred from being employed in positions for which they would manage or have a hand in their employers’ money for a three-year period after their release from prison. According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Blanks hired Foster and Gutierrez to handle his personal and professional finances. Instead, the women stole a ton of cash and blew it on things like clothes, vacations and "down payments on several Range Rovers." Officials say the women were feeding Blanks false statements to conceal their scheme

Khloe K Slams Claims That She’s Not A Real Kardashian

Khloe Kardashian is slamming a new report she’s not a real Kardashian. The youngest of the three Kardashian sisters went on a Twitter rant yesterday to blast suggestions she’s not the biological daughter of the late lawyer Robert Kardashian. “The audacity you have to mention my father’s name like this! Should be ashamed of urself! I let a lot of things slide but this one is really low,” she wrote. Khloe was responding to a Star magazine story with damaging quotes from both of the women who married Robert Kardashian after his 1990 divorce from Khloe’s mom, Kris Jenner. “Khloe is not his kid. He told me that after we got married,” ex-wife Jan Ashley, the first spouse after Kris Jenner, told Star. And the woman married to Robert Kardashian at the time of his death in 2003 claimed even Khloe questioned her branch on the family tree. “Khloe brought it up all the time,” Ellen Kardashian said. “She looked nothing like the rest. She was tall, had a different shape, light hair, curly hair. Didn’t look anything like the other three children.”
