Roy Rogers’ Dog Sold At Auction

Roy Rogers’ stuffed and mounted dog, Bullet, has fetched $35,000 on the second day of an auction of the movie cowboy’s belongings in New York City. The preserved remains of Rogers’ wife’s horse, Buttermilk, also were auctioned yesterday. Buttermilk sold for $25,000 – less than a tenth of the price of Rogers’ horse, Trigger, which was sold Wednesday. No word on Bullet’s and Buttermilk’s new owners. But Trigger is heading for Omaha, Nebraska, after being purchased by the rural cable TV network RFD-TV. The Rogers auction included more than 1,000 items from the now-closed Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum in Branson, Missouri.
