When the new season of “The Price is Right” starts in September, Drew Carey will add improv to his hosting duties. After six seasons, the current “Price is Right” announcer, Rich Fields, is being replaced with three rotating guest announcers. Two of the new announcers are Brad Sherwood and Jeff Davis, who were on “Whose Line is It Anyway?” with Carey and appeared on “The Drew Carey Show.” The third is J.D. Roberto, the behind-the-scenes correspondent for “American Idol Extra” on the Fox Reality Channel. He also occasionally hosts “The Price is Right Live” at Bally’s Hotel in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Fields, who is a meteorologist, has started doing the weather at L.A.’s CBS station.
