Police said one cause of the fight between 51-year-old Michael Lohan and 28-year-old Kathryn Major was a court date that was scheduled for today on a previous domestic violence case. Major also said that Lohan got violent when she refused to give him oral sex. After being placed in custody, Lohan complained of chest pains and was taken to St Joseph’s Hospital. Police said he apparently tried to check himself out and leave unnoticed when he thought the officers had departed, but they quickly arrested him. After police got the call around 1 a.m. Tuesday, they said they could hear a female voice yelling “stop” and “leave me alone.” They said when they entered the house they found Lohan sweaty and out of breath, defensively saying everything was OK, while Major yelled for police to help her. Lopez Admits Tears Were And Act

Jennifer Lopez should win an Oscar for her latest acting gig. Lopez shed crocodile tears on stage at Mohegan Sun the other night, but it was all just an act. Lopez told “Access Hollywood” that the tears she cried on Saturday were all part of her shtick. “After I sang the song, I’m standing there, and I realized that I did bare a little bit of my thoughts in this song. I also acted it out, kind of, for the audience. The way they received it was very touching,” she explained. As we reported yesterday, the tears came after J.Lo performed “One Love” and paraded a series of models out on stage that resembled her and her exes. “I think they felt what I felt, which is, you know, I’m just a girl, just like everybody else, trying to find my way. I felt like they got that, and they understood it, and we were all like one at that moment. It was very, very touching. It kind of overwhelmed me,” Lopez said.

Scientologists Target ‘South Park'

An episode of “South Park” from 2005 that parodied the Church of Scientology was so upsetting to leaders of the religious sect that it secretly investigated the show’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, according to documents made public yesterday. Private investigators for the church allegedly staked out the “South Park” offices, rifled through Stone’s and Parker’s trash, and even tried to recruit a mole to infiltrate the team, former high-ranking Scientologist Mark Rathburn says. The goal, according to Rathburnn, was to dig up dirt, which the church could use to pressure the show into not poking fun at the church. The Scientology investigators failed to dig up anything juicy enough, so they set their sights on actors John Stamos and Rebecca Romjin – who were friends with Parker and Stone. All of this was the result of a “South Park” episode, “Trapped In A Closet,” depicting Stan Marsh becoming a Scientologist because it was “fun and free.” On the show, he was discovered to be the reincarnation of the church’s founder, L. Ron Hubbard.

Lindsay Lohan is shooting nude photos for Playboy, according to TMZ. The troubled actress will reportedly earn nearly $1 million for taking all of her clothes off. Playboy came back with more money but less than a million. However, it was close enough for Lohan to go for it. The shoot started over the weekend.

Broadway Night On ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Sparks flew on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” last night when head judge Len Goodman and pro partner Maksim Chmerkovsiky had a testy exchange following Goodman’s critique of Hope Solo. The remaining seven celebrity contestants danced to Broadway show tunes and performed a group dance. Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez came out on top, with both earning 29 points. Chaz Bono performed the tango to the theme from “The Phantom of the Opera” and was the night’s lowest scorer with 19 points. Hope Solo danced a rumba to the song “Seasons of Love” from the musical “Rent” and earned 20 points. “This is your worst dance of the whole season, in my opinion. I’m really disappointed,” Goodman said, pointing out that Solo was leading with her heel. When Solo’s partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, said that the audience was focused on the pair’s entire journey, not one aspect of last night’s performance, Goodman stated that he’d been in the business for 50 years, only to be cut off by Chmerkovskiy’s retorting, “Maybe it’s time to get out.” Judge Carrie Ann Inaba immediately shot back at Maksim, telling him, “Don’t be disrespectful like that.” Last night’s scores:

Ricki Lake and Derek Hough: 29 Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke: 22
J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff: 29 Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 20
Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus: 24 Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer: 19
David Arquette and Kym Johnson:  23

LiLo Shows Up Early For Morgue Duty

Lindsay Lohan showed up to the Los Angeles County Morgue at 5:35 a.m. Friday morning – nearly 90 minutes ahead of her scheduled 7 a.m. community service starting time. The early arrival was no doubt an attempt not to repeat last Thursday’s mistake, when Lohan showed up 20 minutes late, then was turned away, said Coroner Assistant Chief, Ed Winter. Judge Stephanie Sautner last week ordered the actress to perform janitorial duty at the morgue twice a week while free on bail until a November 2nd hearing, when it will be determined if she violated probation in a case related to a stolen necklace.

Selena Gomez Stalker A Repeat Offender

A man ordered to stay away from singer/actress Selena Gomez has a history of stalking, according to authorities in his native Illinois. Gomez has been granted a restraining order against Thomas Brodnicki after the 46-year-old allegedly told his psychiatrist he was going to kill the star after having conversations with God about her. The teenager and her lawyer, Blair Berk, claimed Brodnicki was picked up for mental evaluation last month after he allegedly threatened to “scratch people’s eyes out on the street,” and now the full details of his criminal past have been unveiled. Brodnicki was arrested in 2003 on charges that he stalked a waitress at a Des Plaines, Illinois, restaurant. He was eventually convicted in 2008 and sentenced to three years in prison, but only after he was found unfit to stand trial in 2007 and re-committed to a mental health facility. Just three months after his sentencing, he was arrested again in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and charged with cyberstalking a college student.

Prosecutors Want Lindsay Lohan Back In Jail

Los Angeles city prosecutors plan to ask a judge to send Lindsay Lohan back to jail for violating terms of her probation. The judge will review Lohan’s probation progress today as part of a sentence stemming from probation in a 2007 drunken driving conviction and a May misdemeanor theft conviction. The actress rarely appeared at a women’s shelter for 350 hours of required service and never showed up at the coroner’s office, where she was supposed to do another 120 hours of community service. She is now seeking to complete the women’s shelter hours at the American Red Cross. “She was terminated from the women’s center program for failing to show up. This was one of the terms of her probation. So we will seek jail time for her,” said a spokesman for the city attorney. Lohan was ordered in May to have her 480 hours of community service completed by April 2012. As of last week, she had reportedly completed 21 of 360 hours required at the skid row shelter for women.

Smirnoff said that there wasn’t enough time to focus on both the wedding and “Dancing” at the same time. Her nuptials had been planned for January 21st. The suit also claims that, during the trip, “Ms. Sproul was sexually harassed and knowingly placed in dangerous situations that endangered her safety.” Sproul says that she was paired with local resident, Andres, whom MTV had hired, and Andres immediately set to hitting on her and pressuring her to smoke marijuana with him. • “It is not always the job of people shouting outside impressive buildings to solve problems. It is often the job of the people inside, who have paper, pens, desks, and an impressive view.”
  • “Historically, a story about people inside impressive buildings ignoring or even taunting people standing outside shouting at them turns out to be a story with an unhappy ending.”

Carson Kressley Booted Off ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Carson Kressley was booted off of “Dancing With the Stars” last night. It wasn’t much of a surprise – the judges had given him the lowest scores for his 1980s-themed routine a night earlier. Kressley had dressed in a cheerleader’s outfit for his routine with pro partner, Anna Trebunskaya. “This has been pure joy for me,” he said after learning he’d been axed. Host Tom Bergeron said that the worst “injustice” was that the “Queer Eye” fashion guru was booted off one week shy of Broadway week. Remaining contestants are actor J.R. Martinez, reality TV personality Rob Kardashian, actor David Arquette, soccer star Hope Solo, activist Chaz Bono and TV hosts Ricki Lake and Nancy Grace.

Clarifying which Pope received her package, Sarandon said, “The last one, not this Nazi one we have now.” Balaban tried to dance around the comment, but Sarandon just made it again, according to reports. The audience also laughed. The ADL said Sarandon’s comment was “disturbing, deeply offensive and completely uncalled for attack on the good name of Pope Benedict XVI.” The Pope’s PR people acknowledged that Benedict was a member of the Hitler Youth as a boy, a requirement at the time for German boys his age – but the rep insists he had no “active participation” in the group.

Police also discovered 15 marijuana plants in his bedroom – a big no-no considering the actor was busted for growing marijuana in 2009. Waylett’s previous run-in with the law was part of the reason his character was written out of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.” Waylett was eventually released on bail; he’s due back in court on November 11th.

Studio Won’t Release ‘Tower Heist’ Early For Rent

There’s usually a window of three to four months between a studio film’s release in theaters and when it’s available to watch at home. But looking to make up for declining DVD revenue, studios have been experimenting with narrower windows to see how much people might be willing to pay to see movies at home earlier. The problem, a source says, is that the guns came with paperwork claiming they were non-functional – but they’re actually in working order. Hajdu Janos and Zsolt Bodnar, the director and deputy director of Hungary’s Anti-Terrorism Unit, told Us Weekly: “Guns like these are highly illegal to transport even if they were used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren’t.” Before filming in Budapest, “World War Z” was shooting in Glasgow, Scotland. In the aftermath of his split with ESPN’s Monday Night Football, Hank Williams Jr. has written a song criticizing “Fox & Friends” – and returning to Fox today for an appearance on “Hannity.” He will also appear on ABC’s “The View” today. The controversy began last week during an interview on “Fox & Friends” in which Williams compared President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner playing golf together to Adolf Hitler playing golf with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. ESPN yanked Williams’ “are you ready for some football” introduction to its Monday Night Football telecasts. Now Williams has recorded “Keep the Change,” whose lyrics “Fox & Friends” twisted his words: “So Fox ‘n Friends wanna put me down/Ask for my opinion/Twist it all around.” He finishes the verse: “Well two can play that gotcha game you’ll see.” Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar of “The View” are among those who have defended Williams’ right of freedom of speech. Williams said, “After watching the clip of their show, I knew I needed to talk to them first.” He posted “Keep the Change” on his website and is offering it as a free download for 48 hours.

Hank Jr.’s MNF Role Temporarily Filled

Hank Williams Jr.’s opening segment for ESPN’s Monday Night Football telecast will be initially filled by former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders and Detroit-based soul singer Jimmy Scott and the Selected of God gospel choir. Williams and ESPN parted ways last week after he made derogatory comments about President Obama during an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.” To open tonight’s game between the Chicago Bears and the Lions at Detroit’s Ford Field, Sanders will provide narration and Scott and the choir will perform “Ain’t No Love in the Heart of the City,” a song popularized by Bobby “Blue” Bland in the ‘70s. An ESPN spokesperson said the video is not intended to be a replacement for Williams’ famous “Are you ready for some football?” featured on “Monday Night Football” since 1989; he said the “spot will look different every week.”

Clint Eastwood In Talks To Star In New Baseball Drama

Clint Eastwood may soon be returning to the big screen, this time in front of the camera, not behind it. The 81-year-old, who hasn’t appeared in front of the camera since 2008’s “Gran Torino,” is in talks to appear in “Trouble With the Curve,” an upcoming baseball drama, as a veteran scout with eyesight troubles who talks his daughter into going on the road with him. If Eastwood agrees to star in “Trouble With the Curve,” it would mark his first time appearing onscreen for a director other than himself since 1993’s “In the Line of Fire.”

Johnny Depp Eyeing Role In Dr. Seuss Biopic

Redmond O’Neal Has State of the Art Monitoring Bracelet Attached

Redmond O’Neal, Ryan O’Neal’s 26-year-old son, had his sentencing last week for a probation violation and was fitted with a GPS monitoring bracelet. Redmond’s probation had been revoked in September when he snuck out of rehab and ordered drugs from a payphone. Now the judge has sent him back to rehab, with a GPS bracelet. It includes real-time cameras that take a snapshot of Redmond’s location every five minutes. If he steps outside the designated area, an alarm goes off. Redmond was sentenced to a year in rehab back in August. He faces up to six years in prison if he messes up again.

Zsa Zsa Undergoes Surgery

Zsa Zsa Gabor had surgery yesterday to reattach a feeding tube to her stomach after being hospitalized in Los Angeles a day earlier. The 94-year-old actress was doing well, a spokesman said. Spokesman John Blanchette said it looked like Gabor would recover after being rushed to the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center on Saturday when she fell unconscious at home. She was experiencing a high fever and suffered some internal bleeding. Gabor has been hospitalized numerous times since July 2010, when she fell out of bed and broke her hip. She later underwent hip replacement surgery, which led to a further stay in the hospital. She had a leg amputated in January.

Fox Renews ‘Simpsons’ For 2 Years

“The Simpsons” were renewed Friday for two more seasons. The popular show was facing the axe by Fox due to a pay dispute between the network and the six main cast members who were refusing to take the 45% pay cut the network wanted them to, which would almost halved their $8 million season payout. Although terms of the deal has not been revealed, it is believed to involve the actors receiving a cut of the profits made from the massive amount of merchandise sold in relation to the show. The Simpsons will now be guaranteed a 24th and 25th season before another review is carried out. Earlier Friday, Harry Shearer released a statement saying, “We’ve had a great run and no one should feel sorry for any of us.” Shearer admitted that his salary was “ridiculous by any normal standard,” and added “But given how much joy the show has given so many people over the years – and given how many billions of dollars in profits News Corp. has earned and will earn from it – I find it hard to believe that this is Fox’s final word on the subject.”

More than 700 costumes, scripts, awards and memorabilia were sold to more than 2,600 John Wayne fans during the two-day auction hosted by Heritage Auctions and John Wayne Enterprises. A portion of the money will be allocated to cancer research through the John Wayne Cancer Foundation. Wayne died of cancer in 1979.

Joe Francis Loses $2 Million Gambling Debt Case

“Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis has lost a case in the Nevada Supreme Court over $2 million owed to the Wynn Las Vegas casino. The high court ruled that a lower court was right to grant summary judgment favoring the casino because Francis abused his constitutional rights by repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment at a deposition during questioning from Wynn lawyers, even on questions like whether he was married or if his father was alive. Francis had believed he was off the hook for the $2 million marker in September when a Las Vegas district court judge threw out the case, saying the Wynn casino waited too long to collect the funds from Francis. But Thursday’s ruling puts him $2 million in the hole with the Wynn.

Limo Company Sues Lohan

A California limousine company is suing Lindsay Lohan over a $90,000 bill she allegedly racked up in 2009. Elite Transportation Limo and Security Services claims the actress hired them at a rate of $6,000 an hour, which also includes bodyguard services, for herself and various friends and family. Elite said the actual bill was just under $34,000, but penalties and late fees pushed the total to nearly six figures. Lohan probably won’t be requiring the services of Elite or any other limo any time soon. She recently bought herself a new Porsche from a Los Angeles showroom for about $80,000.

The auction will commence this Saturday on the website 9021go.com. Tareq hopes selling the items “will help bring closure to this ridiculous situation I am in.” Talking about his wife’s sticky fingers, Tareq said, “As soon as we arrived [at the hotels], Michaele would call housekeeping and demand a bath gown saying that there was one missing. So when we checked out we would not be charged for taking it. Looking back I now realize this is indicative of our relationship together, full of deceit, lies ... and bathrobes.” All the proceeds will go to charity.

Nancy Grace Says Amanda Knox Decision Is ‘Miscarriage of Justice’

Nancy Grace doesn’t see an innocent young woman in Amanda Knox, who was tried and convicted of the 2007 murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher and then set free Monday after a successful appeal. “I think that it was a miscarriage of justice,” Grace told People magazine night after performing a waltz on “Dancing with the Stars.” “I only hope that Ms. Knox makes something of her life now because she’s certainly been given a second chance.” She added, “Very few people are given the chance that she has been given today.” Knox, a University of Washington student who had been studying in Perugia, Italy, had faced a sentence of 26 years in prison, but the appeals court overturned the most serious charges. She returned to Seattle yesterday.

The new Muppet will bring awareness to the ongoing hunger struggles that families face in the United States. “Food insecurity is a growing and difficult issue for adults to discuss, much less children,” the Paisleys said in a statement. The special will see children tell personal stories of their families struggling with hunger, and will also show how some families find innovative and community-driven solutions, including food drives and assistance programs.

Fox Says Can’t Afford More ‘Simpsons’ Without Cuts

Fox says it can no longer afford to produce “The Simpsons” without a huge pay cut for its cast. Fox issued a statement after a report by the Daily Beast said the network had threatened to end the series unless the voice actors take a 45% pay cut. “We believe this brilliant series can and should continue, but we cannot produce future seasons under its current financial model,” Fox said. “We are hopeful that we can reach an agreement with the voice cast that allows ‘The Simpsons’ to go on entertaining audiences with original episodes for many years to come.” “The Simpsons,” currently in its 23rd season, is the longest-running comedy series on television. The Daily Beast said the principal voice cast members were having difficulty renegotiating contracts that currently see them earning around $8 million each per season. An insider said the cast had tried unsuccessfully to negotiate a 30% pay cut in return for a portion of the show’s profits.

DiCaprio Named Ambassador For International Fund For Animal Welfare

Leonardo DiCaprio is heading a campaign to shut down ivory trading. The International Fund for Animal Welfare is organizing the effort. The campaign, launched this week as part of an annual international education program, is targeting seven million teachers, students and their families in more than 15 countries. DiCaprio serves as the global ambassador for the program, which highlights a different animal and conservation theme each year. This year the campaign’s theme is “Elephants, Never Forget,” and focuses on the crisis that elephants face 20 years after the enactment of an international ban on ivory trading. “Authorities in 85 countries have seized almost 400 tons of ivory on the black market since the 1989 ivory trade ban,” DiCaprio said. “In the past century, the number of elephants in the wild has declined by 50 percent. Their disappearance could devastate ecosystems and have a lasting impact on the biodiversity of our planet.” For more info on the elephant slaughter, the illegal ivory trade and how you can help, go to www.ifaw.org.

Hank Williams Jr. Issues Apology

Hank Williams Jr. issued an apology yesterday, one day after ESPN pulled his introductory song for “Monday Night Football” after he used an analogy involving Adolph Hitler and President Obama to make a political point. In a statement posted on Facebook and his website, Hank Jr. said that his passion for politics and sports “got the best or worst of me.” In an interview Monday on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” Williams compared a golf match between President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner, who is a Republican, to “Hitler playing golf with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu.” He then proclaimed Obama and Joe Biden as “the enemy.” “The thought of the leaders of both parties jukin and high fiven on a golf course while so many families are struggling to get by simply made me boil over and make a dumb statement,” Williams said yesterday. “I am very sorry if it offended anyone.” ESPN had no comment on whether Williams’ song would be used on future telecasts.

NBC has canceled “The Playboy Club” after only three episodes. “The Playboy Club” premiered to low ratings and then dropped for each of its three subsequent telecasts, with Monday night attracting only 3.4 million viewers. It’s the first cancellation of the new fall TV season. Despite having relatively tame content, the show wasn’t helped by the conservative group Parents Television Council, who vehemently protested the show. The PTC released a statement saying they were pleased with the cancellation. NBC will fill the Monday night slot with repeats of new police drama, “Prime Suspect,” until Brian Williams’ new primetime newsmagazine, “Rock Center,” takes over on Halloween night.
