Francos’ Dad Dies

Doug Franco, the businessman father of actors James and Dave Franco, has died. He was 63. The cause, time and place of his death were not immediately disclosed. “It is true that my sweet, generous husband passed away. He gave so much to his three sons and me, and to many other people, too,” Doug’s wife, writer and actress Betsy Franco, said via Twitter. Proud parents Doug and Betsy attended the Oscars this year to cheer on James, who was the event’s host, as well as a nominee for his acting work in “127 Hours.”
