‘Glee’ Charity Tour
The cast of “Glee” will not tour this year, as first reported by the Hollywood Reporter. “We currently have no plans of touring the cast this summer,” a spokesman for Glee studio Twentieth Century Fox Television told The Reporter. Following a 2011 tour that grossed a reported $40.85 million, the powers-that-be are now aiming to stage a charity concert in L.A. later this year. Proceeds from the gig would benefit the “Glee” Give A Note campaign, which supports music education programs in schools. Last December, the “Glee” Give A Note campaign awarded $1 million to 73 schools nationwide to help save struggling music programs. $1 from the sale of every “Glee: The Complete Second Season” went to the Give A Note campaign.
