‘Degrassi’ Star Neil Hope’s 2007 Death Reported
Neil Hope, who played “Wheels” on the popular Canadian teen TV show “Degrassi High” from 1987 to 1991, passed away over four years ago, according to a Facebook post from his sister-in-law, Tracy Northrup Hope. Ex-fiancée Christina Boulard said Hope’s family spent years trying to track him down after hearing rumors of his passing several years ago, but only learned last month from police in Hamilton, Ontario, that he had died November 25, 2007. Hope was 35. Boulard said Hope died of “natural causes” but declined to elaborate, only saying he was diabetic. Boulard, who last saw Hope in 2002, said it was not unusual for him to cut ties with friends and family a year at a time.
