The ex-matron at Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy near Johannesburg, South Africa, was found not guilty yesterday of abusing girls at the school. About 150 South African girls from poor families attend the boarding school, which cost $40 million to build and opened in 2007. Virginia Mokgobo was acquitted of 14 charges related to the alleged sexual and physical abuse of six girls.
