Courteney Cox and David Arquette say they have been separated for some time but still remain committed parents and “best friends.” The actors issued a joint statement yesterday announcing what they call a trial separation. The statement comes after In Touch Weekly reported the pair had split. The couple met on the set of “Scream” in 1996 and married in 1999. They have a 6-year-old daughter. Cox and Arquette are co-starring in the fourth installment of the “Scream” series, due out next year.
