Jack Nicholson, Dean Stockwell and Val Kilmer were among the mourners at Dennis Hopper’s funeral yesterday in Taos, New Mexico. Hopper died of prostate cancer last Saturday at the age of 74. He is best known for his work in the films “Rebel Without a Cause,” “Giant,” “True Grit,” “Easy Rider,” “Apocalypse Now” and “Speed.” He most recently starred in the TV drama “Crash.” Taos was chosen for the setting of the actor’s funeral because it was a town Hopper had always loved and in which he lived while he wrote, shot and edited his classic “Easy Rider,” which also featured Nicholson.
