Angelina
Jolie said on this week’s edition of “60 Minutes” she once considered a
career as a funeral director. “It sounds like this very strange,
eccentric, dark thing to do, but, in fact, I lost my grandfather and was
very upset with his funeral,” Jolie said. “How somebody passes and how
family deals with this passing and what death is should be addressed in a
different way. If this whole acting thing didn’t work out that was
going to be my path.” Jolie, who has six children with her longtime
partner Brad Pitt, is on the promotion trail for her directorial debut,
“In the Land of Blood and Honey.”

Charges Dropped In ‘Idol’ Hopeful’s Death
A
New Jersey man arrested for the 2009 hit-and-run crash that killed a
woman who auditioned for “American Idol” twice has pleaded guilty to
drunken driving. Daniel Bark, 25, also pleaded guilty Monday to eluding
police as part of a plea deal. In exchange for his plea, charges of
aggravated manslaughter, death by auto and knowingly leaving the scene
of a fatal accident were dropped. Bark admitted he drank about six beers
at the Bamboo nightclub in Seaside Heights, then got behind the wheel
of a car and ignored orders from two bicycle police officers to stop.
However, he denied striking and killing aspiring “Idol” contestant
Alexis Cohen, who was found dead in the area where Bark had been driving
erratically. Although police said he initially confessed to hitting
Cohen, the admission was inadmissible in court because Bark was not read
his rights before he started answering questions. Bark will be
sentenced January 27th.

Man Says He Heard Natalie Wood Screaming
A
man who says he was about 50 yards from the boat Natalie Wood was on
the night she drowned says he heard the actress “screaming for help.”
Anthony Sakal, 39, told “Inside Edition” he was 9 at the time, and had
been aboard another boat about 50 yards from the Splendour – the vessel
Wood had been on with her husband, Robert Wagner, and Christopher Walken
– when the actress somehow ended up in the water. Officials recently
reopened the investigation into Wood’s 1981 death, saying they received
new information regarding the case, but they haven’t offered any
details. Sakal’s mother, Marilyn Wayne, publicly revealed last week that
she heard a woman screaming for help the night Wood died. Anthony Sakal
recalled his own memories in his interview with “Inside Edition.”
“Natalie Wood was screaming for help. The other party was joking about
helping her … . I can only tell you they responded, ‘Hang on!’ And, then
nothing happened.” When pressed to describe what else he heard, Sakal
replied: “I heard, ‘I’m drowning, please help me.’ That sort of thing. I
heard from the other boat, ‘Don’t worry, we’re going to save you.’”
Sakal said the people on the other boat sounded drunk and didn’t seem to
believe Wood’s cries for help were serious.

that sends him into a downward spiral,” CBS said. Jon Cryer plays Alan
on the show.
ABC Halting Production On ‘Pan Am’
ABC
is halting production on its 1960s-set stewardess drama “Pan Am,” cast
member Karine Vanasse said via Twitter yesterday. ABC made the decision
to end the season earlier than scheduled because of its falling ratings.
However, the show has not officially been canceled and could return
next season. The network now plans to produce only one of the five
scripts it has left to shoot for the show’s first season, bringing to 14
the total number of episodes expected to run in 2011-12. “Well, we
received THE call, #PanAm is only coming back for one more episode after
Christmas,” Vanasse, who plays Colette, tweeted. “But up to the end,
we’ll give it our all!” The show co-stars Christina Ricci, Mike Vogel,
Kelli Garner and Ashley Greene.

Bono, Martinez May Host Chat Show
“Dancing
with the Stars” competitors J.R. Martinez, Chaz Bono, David Arquette
and Karson Cressley may serve as hosts of a new chat show, the New York
Post said. Martinez beat out the rest of his co-stars to win the mirror
ball trophy on “Dancing” last week. Bono, who appeared on last weekend’s
TV special “Being Chaz,” said recently he’d love to work with Martinez,
Arquette and Cressley again. Now it seems he may get his wish. “He is
being asked to do tests and put together a pilot. It could be a great
alternative male counterpart to the ladies on ‘The View,’” a source told
the Post.

Playboy Mansion Sued For Favoring Women
The
“Leather Meets Lace” party at the Playboy Mansion has triggered a
lawsuit filed by men who allegedly had to pay for admission while
“gorgeous ladies” did not. Steve Frye is suing on behalf of all men who
paid $1,000 to get into the shindig. In his lawsuit, Frye claims he was
upset when he learned “gorgeous ladies” got in free. Frye claims the
double standard is sex discrimination. He also says offering these women
free admission “promotes harmful, negative stereotypes.” Playboy claims
it didn’t set the admission price and only rents out the mansion to
others. The party, which took place October 1st, was a charity event
benefiting ex-playmate Jenny McCarthy’s Generation Rescue for Autism
Awareness.
Lawrence Taylor Sued By Teen In Sex Case
Pro
Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor is being sued by the teenage
girl he admitted having sex with in a case that led to his guilty plea
to misdemeanor charges earlier this year. Cristina Fierro filed suit in
federal court in New York yesterday. She is seeking compensatory and
punitive damages. Taylor was sentenced to six years’ probation under a
deal to plead guilty to sexual misconduct and patronizing an underage
prostitute. Taylor also had to register as a sex offender under the plea
deal. He was declared a low-risk offender in April, meaning there would
be no photo of him on public online registries. Fierro was 16 when the
crime occurred in May 2010. She made a statement outside his sentencing
hearing in March saying he deserved jail time. Fierro’s pimp, Rasheed
Davis, was sentenced to seven years in prison in August after pleading
guilty to transporting a minor for paid sex.
Miley Cyrus Clarifies Pothead Remarks
Miley
Cyrus was just joking a week ago when she said she was a pothead, her
rep claims. The rep tells TMZ that Miley was joking about the cake her
friends got her for her 19th birthday when she said, “You know you’re a
stoner when friends make you a Bob Miley cake. You know you smoke way
too much f***ing weed.” The rep says the Bob Miley cake was an inside
joke – Kelly Osbourne has been calling her “Bob Miley” since the
infamous salvia incident last year. The rep says Miley is not a pothead
and it was all meant in jest.
Anne Hathaway Engaged
Anne
Hathaway is engaged to boyfriend Adam Shulman, her spokesman said
yesterday. Hathaway has been dating Shulman, an actor and jewelry
designer, since 2008. Their engagement comes after the actress went
through a very nasty and public break-up with ex-boyfriend Raffaello
Follieri in 2008, when Follieri was arrested and pleaded guilty on fraud
charges. Hathaway stars in upcoming superhero film “The Dark Knight
Rises,” playing Catwoman opposite Christian Bale’s Batman. The movie is

Tobey Maguire Settles Over Poker Winnings
Tobey
Maguire has decided to settle a lawsuit over his winnings from a
convicted con man during high-stakes Hollywood poker games. The actor
agreed to pay $80,000 to settle the lawsuit filed over more than
$311,000 he was paid by a convicted Ponzi scheme operator in Texas Hold
‘Em matches that included celebrities, businessmen and others. Tobey was
one of 22 people sued this summer for taking Bradley Ruderman to the
cleaners in multiple underground poker games back in 2007 and 2008.
Ruderman was arrested soon after for bilking money from his clients.
Ruderman filed for bankruptcy and the bankruptcy trustees turned around
and sued Maguire, Nick Cassavetes, Gabe Kaplan and others, trying to
recoup Ruderman’s gambling losses in an effort to pay his victims back.
Ruderman is currently serving a 10 year federal prison sentence after
pleading guilty to two counts of wire fraud, two counts of investment
adviser fraud and willful failure to file taxes.

And
the tweets go on. Demi Moore announced on November 17th that she was
ending her 6-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher, but the 49-year-old is
still tweeting under her “MrsKutcher” Twitter handle. On Thanksgiving,
Moore took to the site for the first time since the day she announced
her split to share a thoughtful tweet: “Why do we only have one day for
giving thanks?” she asked. “IS that why so many people feel
unappreciated? Make this 1 of 365 days of Thanksgiving!” In an Us Weekly
poll, 60% of voters suggested that Moore change her Twitter handle to
“JustDemi,” while 30% liked “MsMoore,” 7% liked “SoOverAshton,” and 3%

Arnold
Schwarzenegger is doing his own stunts in his official return to
acting. TMZ reports that the 64-year-old actor refused a stunt double
for “Last Stand,” which he’s been filming in New Mexico for the last
couple of months. Sources say that Arnold thinks it’s more believable
for him to do the stunts himself. So far, Schwarzenegger has performed
several stunts, including a scene where he’s driving a Camaro while
dragging a villain behind him and one dangerous scene where he’s
suspended above the ground by ropes.

Miley Cyrus Admits She Is A ‘Stoner’
Miley
Cyrus is a self-proclaimed “stoner.” The “Hannah Montana” star turned
19 on November 23rd and celebrated with a birthday party thrown by pal
Kelly Osbourne at Beacher’s Madhouse at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
In a video of the private bash obtained by TheDaily.com, Cyrus seemingly
admits to being a fan of smoking marijuana. “This is amazing,” she says
of a cake baked to look like Bob Marley, which Osbourne presented to
her friend. “You know you’re a stoner when your friends make you a ‘Bob
Miley’ cake. You know you smoke way too much f***ing weed.” "I thought
salvia was your problem, man?” Osbourne joked, referring to the infamous
bong video that surfaced after Cyrus’ 18th birthday party last year in
which Miley was caught smoking what she later claimed was the legal
herb. Miley’s mom and dad – Tish and formerly estranged Billy Ray Cyrus –
were also in attendance, along with Rumer Willis, Victoria Justice and
boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, as well as a number of dwarfs, including a
mini-Nicki Minaj.

father Michael after discovering blood clots in his lungs. Lohan was
rushed to a hospital Thanksgiving Day with chest pains and had been
scheduled for surgery, but further evaluation revealed additional clots
that require treatment before he could go under the knife. TMZ said
Lohan would undergo a course of medication and was penciled in for
surgery for today. Lohan pleaded guilty last week in Tampa to battering
his girlfriend in 2010 and was ordered to complete a four-month,
domestic-violence treatment program.
‘Hunger Games’ Nail Polish Ends In Lawsuit
A
plan to create a nail polish to go along with the upcoming movie “The
Hunger Games” has ended with a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles against
Lionsgate studio. American International Industries is suing Lionsgate
for $10 million for breach of contract for allegedly downplaying the
agreement in the media. American International, a private beauty
products manufacturer, said Lionsgate officials made public statements
to the effect a partnership was not coming together. But American
International contends they had a deal and the company was gearing up to
start producing “The Hunger Games” line of polish.
Chaz Bono Engaged
“Dancing
with the Stars” contestant Chaz Bono has asked his fiancée Jennifer
Elia to marry him. The proposal aired on the couple’s reality show last
night. Bono gave Elia an engagement ring in Seattle in the special
“Being Chaz,” the follow-up to the Emmy-nominated documentary “Becoming
Chaz," which documented Bono’s transition from female to male. “Being
Chaz” aired on OWN and included some of the backlash Bono received for
being the first transgender contestant on “Dancing with the Stars.”

J.R. Martinez To Visit Pentagon
Defense
Secretary Leon Panetta has invited soldier-turned-actor J.R. Martinez,
winner of this season’s “Dancing with the Stars” competition, to meet
him at the Pentagon. During a call Friday, Panetta told Martinez he
demonstrated the strength and resilience of wounded veterans. Martinez
credited his military training for his performance on the ABC show.
Martinez and professional partner Karina Smirnoff bested fellow
finalists Rob Kardashian and Ricki Lake in the finale last Tuesday.
Martinez, 28, was severely burned over more than 40% of his body when
the Humvee he was driving in Iraq struck a land mine in 2003. After
dozens of operations over a three-year recovery, Martinez became a
motivational speaker and in 2008 won a role on the now-retired ABC soap
opera “All My Children.”

Mellencamp Throws 50th Birthday Party For Ryan
Rocker
John Mellencamp threw a dinner party at an Indiana restaurant to
celebrate the 50th birthday of his girlfriend, Meg Ryan. Ryan’s friends,
including actress Kathy Najimy, and Mellencamp’s teenage sons, Hud and
Speck, attended the surprise party Saturday night at Downtown’s Dunaways
before they headed off to Clowes Memorial Hall to watch Mellencamp’s
show. Connie McDonald, office and events manager for Dunaways, said the
group enjoyed dinner, followed by Ryan’s birthday carrot cake.

Eva Longoria’s Restaurant Sued
Eva
Longoria’s Los Angeles restaurant Beso is being sued after a woman
claims she slipped and fell during her birthday dinner at the
restaurant. The lawsuit was filed by Luiza Boyadjian, who went to the
restaurant last year to “celebrate her birthday with friends and
family.” She goes on to say that she got up from sitting to walk around
when she “suddenly slipped and fell due to the floor ... being extremely
slippery.” She claims to have suffered major injuries because of the
fall, including damage to her nervous system. She thinks they should
have had safer floors and is suing for unspecified damages of at least
$25,000.
Walken ‘Doesn’t Know’ Why Natalie Wood Case Re-Opened
Christopher
Walken says he “just doesn’t know” why police are reinvestigating
Natalie Wood’s death 30 years later. Walken was on the boat the night
Natalie died, but reportedly retired to his cabin well before the
actress went missing. When asked by TMZ why he thought police had
reopened the case, which also involves Robert Wagner, Walken said, “I
just don’t know,” before refusing to comment further. Los Angeles
homicide police say they are reopening the investigation in light of new
information given to them. Wood’s body was found off the coast of
California one day after she apparently fell off the boat she had been
drinking on with Wagner and Walken.
NBC Orders Full Season Of ‘Grimm’
NBC
has ordered a full season of its new fairytale-themed drama series
“Grimm.” Starring David Giuntoli, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell,
Sasha Roiz and Russell Hornsby, the show is about a police detective who
investigates crimes with supernatural elements. The series debuted on
NBC this fall.
Wagner’s Bad Timing
Robert
Wagner played a suspected murderer on “NCIS” last night, just days
after the Los Angeles police department announced it has reopened its
investigation into the 1981 drowning death of Natalie Wood, who was then
Wagner’s wife. Wagner returned to his recurring role as Anthony DiNozzi
Sr., who was suspected of murder after he woke up with no memory of the
previous night and a dead woman in the trunk of his car. The Los
Angeles sheriff’s department said last week Wagner is not a suspect in
Wood’s death. Wood was 43 when she died while boating off Santa Catalina
Island with Wagner and her “Brainstorm” co-star Christopher Walken. Her
death was ruled an accidental drowning.
Dress Like Pippa Or Bella
The
famous dress worn by Pippa Middleton at her sister Kate’s wedding to
Prince William of England is for sale online. The cowl-neck silk-crepe
gown, which was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, is being
sold for $3,100 on the U.K. version of Net-a-Porter.com. The version
for sale differs slightly from the one worn by Middleton, featuring a
zipper detailing in the back – instead of buttons, as on the original –
and lacks the lace panels around the sleeve and neck. Meanwhile, the
official replica of the Carolina Herrera gown Kristen Stewart wears in
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1” is now available from Alfred
Angelo. Herrera’s original design was inspired by the book. “I was
called by Stephenie Meyer. We had to discuss a lot, but I was very
inspired by her book and the description of the wedding,” Herrera said.
It comes in ivory or white, sizes 0 to 30W and is priced at $799.
Former ‘Sesame Street’ Composer Pleads Not Guilty To Child Porn Charges
A
Grammy-winning composer who worked on “Sesame Street” has been charged
with making and distributing child pornography after allegedly
handcuffing a naked 4-year-old girl and taking pictures. Fernando Rivas,
59, appeared in a South Carolina federal court Monday where he pleaded
not guilty. Rivas was arrested in April after FBI agents raided the
composer’s home and discovered a collection of photographs depicting a
4-year-old girl naked and “restrained in handcuffs and other
bondage-type devices.” Police say Rivas – who also taught music at a
local Charleston school – admitted he took the pictures of the little
girl and emailed them to two other people. Rivas remains on house arrest
after posting $300,000 bail.
Sharon Tate Murder Ring Up For Sale
The
ring actress Sharon Tate was wearing on the night of her infamous
murder in 1969 is for sale. On November 30th, Tate’s engagement ring –
given to her by husband Roman Polanski in 1967 – will go up for auction
at GottaHaveRockandRoll.com, where bidders will have to shell out at
least $10,000 to potentially own the grim piece of jewelry. Sharon and
her unborn child were brutally murdered in 1969 by followers of Charles
Manson. Polanski reportedly pulled the ring off Tate’s finger when he
was identifying her body at the morgue.
J.R. Martinez Wins ‘Dancing With The Stars’
J.R.
Martinez won the mirror ball trophy on “Dancing With The Stars” last
night during a surprising finale in which the top-scoring Ricki Lake
failed to advance to the top two. “Thank you America for believing in
us,” Martinez said. He turned to his pro-dancing partner, Karina
Smirnoff, and added, “You are amazing.” Rob Kardashian came in second.
Last night, the stars had to reprise their favorite dances of the
season; those scores were combined with Monday night’s totals and votes
from viewers. Lake, who has dominated in the scoring all season, was
knocked out of the running, taking third place. Kardashian and Martinez
then performed an instant samba to music that was selected for them
during the show. They both earned perfect scores of 30 points.

Brett Ratner Apologizes For Gay Slur, Resigns As Oscar Producer
“Tower
Heist” director Brett Ratner has apologized for remarking that
“rehearsal is for f*gs” at a premiere over the weekend. Ratner said, “I
apologize for any offense my remarks caused. It was a dumb way of
expressing myself. Everyone who knows me knows that I don’t have a
prejudiced bone in my body. But as a storyteller I should have been much
more thoughtful about the power of language and my choice of words.”
The director has since resigned as producer of the 84th Academy Awards.
Ratner said, “Being asked to help put on the Oscar show was the proudest
moment of my career. But as painful as this may be for me, it would be
worse if my association with the show were to be a distraction from the
Academy and the high ideals it represents.”
Candy Spelling Wins $90k On Vegas Slots
Candy
Spelling, the wealthy widow of TV producer Aaron Spelling, has won
$90,000 at the slots in Las Vegas. Tori Spelling’s mom won her latest
jackpot on the high stakes slots at the Bellagio, which run from $100 to
$1,000 per spin. In 2007, the millionairess reportedly won $200,000 on
the slots, and in 2008 she’s said to have scored another $180,000! All
three wins took place at the Bellagio. It gets better – just days after
her 2007 win, Candy also reportedly won a Prius in her own charity
raffle.
Ellen Named Special AIDS Envoy
Ellen
DeGeneres has been appointed a special envoy in the global fight
against Aids by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Ellen will use
her celebrity status to help raise awareness about the deadly disease.
In a statement, DeGeneres says, “The fight against AIDS is something
that has always been close to my heart. And I’m happy that I can use my

role during a speech at the National Institutes of Health in Washington,
D.C. yesterday.
Michael Lohan Facing Up To Four Years In Jail

Lohan faces up to four years in prison after being charged following
his latest two arrests over an alleged altercation with his ex-fiancée,
Kate Major. Lindsay Lohan’s father received charges in Florida yesterday
over his arrest over an alleged physical altercation with Major on
October 25th. He was then taken into custody again a day later after
violating a temporary restraining order by phoning her. The 51-year-old

domestic violence for his first arrest, and violating a condition of

third-storey balcony and falling into a tree.
MSNBC To Air Conrad Murray Documentary
A
revealing new TV documentary about Dr. Conrad Murray is to debut on
MSNBC Friday night – four days after the physician was convicted of
involuntary manslaughter. Murray was led away from court in Los Angeles
in handcuffs on Monday after a jury found him guilty of administering
the fatal dose of anesthetic propofol that cost Michael Jackson his life
in 2009. “Michael Jackson and the Doctor” will show how Murray and his
legal team prepared for his trial. Murray also breaks his silence and
reveals personal details of his relationship with Jackson. He also
discusses his role within the star’s family life, the intense pressures
Jackson felt leading up to his planned “This Is It” concert tour and the
events of the day Jackson died, the cable network said.
New Reality Show Features Drunk Drivers
TLC
has ordered “D.U.I.,” a new series that goes behind the scenes of
drunk-driving law enforcement in Oklahoma. The network has picked up 12
episodes, with six debuting next month and the rest planned for 2012.
Unlike “COPS,” the TLC show just focuses on drunk-driving suspects and
follows their story from being pulled over and being interrogated, to,
if necessary, arrest and sentencing. The show debuts December 1st.
Straight, Gay Couple Lose Virginity On ‘Glee’
Last
night’s episode of the popular Fox comedy “Glee” featured two couples –
the heterosexual Finn and Rachel and the homosexual Kurt and Blaine –
losing their virginity. The episode sparked controversy even before it
hit the air. EW’s PopWatch described the episode, titled “The First
Time,” as “incredibly moving” and said the sex scenes were “handled very
delicately.” But television watchdog group the Parents Television
Council is outraged by the controversial storyline and what it says is a
“celebration” of teen sex. “The fact that ‘Glee’ intends to not only
broadcast, but celebrate children having sex is reprehensible. The
gender of the high school characters involved is irrelevant. Teen sex is
now more prevalent on TV than adult sex and ‘Glee’ is only playing into
that trend,” PTC President Tim said.
Young TV Actor Charged In Burglary Effort
Actor
Kesun Mitchell Loder, whose television credits include “CSI” and “ER,”
faces a court hearing in Wilmington, North Carolina, on charges he
attempted a burglary at a mobile phone store. The 18-year-old was
arrested on charges of attempted breaking and entering, possession of
burglary tools and carrying a concealed weapon. Loder’s acting stage
name is K’Sun Ray. A court hearing is scheduled next week. Police say
Loder was arrested last month after cutting an alarm system cable and
trying to enter a mobile phone store through a side door. Employees
confronted Loder and he ran away, but was caught by a police officer.
Court Won’t Hear ‘Ghost Hunters’ Appeal
The
Supreme Court won’t hear an appeal from some television networks being
sued by a paranormal investigator who claims his idea was stolen and
turned into the show “Ghost Hunters.” Without comment, the court turned
away an appeal from NBC Universal, Inc., Universal Television Networks
and Pilgrim Films & Television, Inc. Parapsychologist Larry Montz
and producer Daena Smoller unsuccessfully shopped around an idea for a
show about paranormal investigators in 1981. “Ghost Hunters” appeared on
the Sci Fi Channel - now known as SyFy in 2004. Montz and Smoller sued
in federal court. The courts threw out their copyright claims, but the
9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed that they could sue for breach
of an implied contract and breach of confidence claims.
Another Dugger On The Way
Word
that the population just hit 7 billion isn’t slowing down one family.
The TLC reality show “19 Kids and Counting” may soon need a new name.
Arkansas couple Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar appeared with their clan on
NBC’s “Today” show yesterday and announced they are expecting their 20th
child in April. Forty-five-year-old Michelle Duggar said she’s in good
physical shape and that she’s not worried, despite complications during
her last pregnancy that led to the premature birth of their youngest
child two years ago. She says she’s made it through her first trimester
safely. The couple doesn’t use birth control. Michelle says she didn’t
necessarily expect to get pregnant again and that she and her husband
are excited to welcome the new addition to the family.
Nancy Grace Booted From ‘Dancing’
The
jury’s verdict is in and Nancy Grace is out. The CNN host was booted
off Season 13 of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” last night. Grace was
eliminated based on a combination of viewer votes and scores from judges
Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba. “I want to thank the
viewers who stood by me,” Grace said moments after her elimination was
announced. She thanked professional partner Tristan MacManus, who she
has often been at odds with during the season. Grace joins the seven
previously eliminated “DWTS” contestants David Arquette, Chaz Bono,
Carson Kressley, Chynna Phillips, Kristin Cavallari, Elisabetta Canalis

Ethan Zohn Finishes NYC Marathon
The
recent news that Ethan Zohn’s cancer had returned “completely filled
[him] with fear and anger and anxiety,” the “Survivor” champ said. But
instead of running scared, he ran a marathon. Ethan finished the New
York City Marathon yesterday with an unofficial time of 4:20:46, just
minutes after last year’s time of 4:16. “Cancer’s not going to slow me
down,” the reality star says, “and it’s not going to slow anyone else
down. I’m going to continue to charge forward and do the things that I
love.” Ethan didn’t race alone. He captained a team of 70 runners and
fundraisers – including some of his costars from this season of “The
Amazing Race” – for his Grassroots Soccer charity, which combats the
AIDS epidemic in Africa. Ethan also had an “incredible support network”
cheering him along the arduous 26.2-mile course, including family and
friends as well as girlfriend and fellow “Survivor” winner Jenna
Morasca. While most marathoners will be resting this week after the
grueling race, Ethan’s got another round of chemo scheduled for
tomorrow.
‘American Idol’s’ William Hung Gets A New Police Gig
America’s
favorite “American Idol” reject has found a new gig with the Los
Angeles County Sherriff’s Department. After his Season 3 audition
performance in 2004 of Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs,” William Hung became a
viral hit and received a cult-like following, which led him to numerous
talk show appearances, three albums, and his primetime television show
debut on Fox’s “Arrested Development.” Now, Hung has made a career
shift. According to TMZ, Hung is working for the LA County Sherriff’s
Department as a Technical Crime Analyst, analyzing trends and patterns
in crimes. This can help law enforcement deploy resources in a more
effective manner, as well as playing a role in apprehending suspects,
solving crimes, and formulating crime prevention strategies. A photo
obtained by TMZ shows Hung teaching in front of a class last week at a
training facility. Before auditioning for “Idol,” Hung was a student at
UC Berkeley, studying civil engineering.

is paying Kris to keep her engagement ring. TMZ reports that even
though they’re getting divorced, Kim loves the ring and wants to keep
it, but a clause in their prenuptial agreement states that she has to

Philip K. Dick’s Family Sues ‘The Adjustment Bureau’ Creators
The
family of novelist Philip K. Dick are suing the producers and directors
of the film “The Adjustment Bureau” for a portion of the film’s
royalties. According to the family, the producers and directors of the
film, which starred Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, did not pay the rights
for the thriller. The filmmakers say no royalties need to be paid or
rights purchased because the book first appeared in a 1954 magazine
called Orbit, for which the rights are now in the public domain. The
family’s trust countered that the magazine published the material
without the author’s consent or knowledge, and maintain that the rights
still fall with the trust since the novel was published in a 1973

Lindsay
Lohan has asked the morgue where she is doing her court-ordered
community service for a letter of recommendation for the extremely
skeptical judge. TMZ says Lindsay pleaded with the supervisor at the
L.A. County Coroner’s Office to write the letter on her behalf, saying

even if it did reach him, he would have said “No.”

As
she awaits a possible jail sentence for violating probation, Lindsay
Lohan spent Halloween surrounded by the dead at Los Angeles’ county
morgue. In her effort to get on the judge’s good side, Lohan checked in
for her fourth day at the L.A. County coroner’s office yesterday,
chipping away at more of the 120 hours of community service she must
perform to satisfy her sentence for violating a 2007 drunk driving
probation and for a necklace theft conviction last summer. Lohan hopes
to convince Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner at
a probation violation hearing tomorrow that she has turned over a new
leaf. Lohan was booted out of a 360-hour community service program at
the Downtown Women’s Shelter after repeatedly failing to show up – and
was late on the first day she tried to work at the morgue. Lohan faces
more jail time tomorrow, but how much time she would spend there may be
limited by overcrowding because her shoplifting offense is not a violent
crime.

say the accident happened at 1:48 p.m. Thursday in Chester County’s
Pocopson Township, near the Margera home. Bam was sitting in his 2011
Porsche Panamera at a stop sign when an unidentified driver of a Ford
pickup sideswiped the length of his car. Police said the incident
qualified as a “non-reportable crash,” because no one was injured, no
vehicle was towed and there was no sign of alcohol or drug impairment.
The driver, an employee trying to make a delivery at the time, was not
cited.
Queen Latifah To Host Syndicated Daytime Talk Show In 2013
Oscar-nominated
actress/singer Queen Latifah will be the host of her very own
syndicated talk show. The as-yet-untitled show is being developed for
fall 2013. It won’t be Latifah’s first foray into hosting a talk show;
her gabfest “The Queen Latifah Show” ran in syndication from 1999 to
2001.
‘American Horror Story’ Renewed For Season 2
“American
Horror Story” will return for a second season on FX. It is one of the
fastest pickups in the history of the network, which tends to wait until
at least the fifth episode airs before renewing a show. FX president
John Landgraf commented, “Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have hit the
trifecta with ‘Nip/Tuck,’ ‘Glee’ and now ‘American Horror Story,’ which
will be scaring FX’s viewers to death for many years to come.”
Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries Divorcing
Well
that didn’t last long. After just 72 days of marriage, Kim Kardashian
has filed for divorce from Kris Humphries. Ryan Seacrest, who serves as
executive producer on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” confirmed the
news via Twitter. The papers, filed yesterday, cite irreconcilable
differences. Kardashian and Humphries, who were married August 20th,
aired their $10 million wedding on E! earlier this month with a two-day
special. “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding” has continued to air on repeats on
the station since. The former couple also recently appeared on “Ellen”
to renew their vows.
Stuffed Trigger To Be In The Rose Parade
Roy
Rogers’ beloved horse Trigger will be featured in the Tournament of
Roses Parade on January 2nd in Pasadena, California. Trigger and Roy
Rogers’ wonder dog Bullet, also stuffed at death, will be perched on a
float that celebrates what would have been Roy Rogers’ 100th birthday.
Rogers’ son and grandson will be on the float singing the “Happy Trails”
theme song. The float is sponsored by the rural television network,
RFD-TV, which airs “The Roy Rogers Show” and bought Trigger and Bullet
at auction last year. Roy Rogers would have turned 100 this November
5th. He and Dale Evans were grand marshals of the Rose Parade in 1977.
‘Titanic’ In 3D
James
Cameron is doing an after-market conversion to turn “Titanic” into what
he jokingly calls 2.99-D. It’s as close to 3D as possible without
originally shooting it with 3D cameras. “Titanic” is being re-released
on April 6th next year to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the
Titanic setting sail on April 10, 1912.
‘Dancing With The Stars’ Week 7
“Dancing
With the Stars’” Halloween show last night featured a ghoulish
ballroom, Harold Wheeler and the band dressed as Zombies, and the six
remaining stars were decked out in a variety of costumes. Each celeb was
scored on an individual dance and a team dance. Ricki Lake revealed
that a rib injury was diagnosed as an inflamed nerve, and her doctor
told her she needs to rest. Instead, she performed a paso doble dressed
as Little Red Riding Hood with fanged wolf partner Derek Hough. She
scored three 9’s from the judges, the highest of the night. Nancy Grace
and her partner Tristan MacManus tried to pull off a jive to “The Devil
Went Down to Georgia,” and failed, scoring three 7’s from the judges for
the lowest score of the night. During the group dances, “Team Tango” –
David Arquette, J.R. Martinez and Nancy Grace – got lukewarm reviews
from the judges and scored a 23. “Team Paso Doble” – Ricki Lake, Hope
Solo and Rob Kardashian – earned rave reviews and a score of 26. Here’s
how the leaderboard stacked up (solo dance, group dance):
Ricki Lake & Derek Hough | 27, 26 (53 total) |
Rob Kardashian & Cheryl Burke | 25, 26 (51 total) |
Maks Chmerkovskiy & Hope Solo | 24, 26 (50 total) |
J.R. Martinez & Karina Smirnoff | 25, 23 (48 total) |
David Arquette & Kym Johnson | 24, 23 (47 total) |
Nancy Grace & Tristan MacManus | 21, 23 (44 total) |
