‘Titanic’s’ Gloria Stuart Dies At 100

Gloria Stuart, the 1930’s actress who gained an Oscar nomination after 60 years in show business for her role as the spunky survivor in “Titanic,” has died. She was 100. Stuart died in her sleep Sunday night at her Los Angeles home. She was diagnosed with lung cancer several years ago, according to her daughter, Sylvia Thompson. Stuart became the oldest Oscar nominee in history when she received a nod at age 87 for her role as “Old Rose” in 1997’s “Titanic.” Stuart starred in more than 40 films in the 1930s – but was best known for her role in “Titanic.
