Angelina
Jolie has been slapped with a lawsuit over the storyline to her
upcoming directorial debut “In the Land of Blood and Honey.” The film
chronicles the myriad sexual abuse scandals that took place in Bosnia in
the 1990’s, and now author James Braddock is claiming that much of
Jolie’s film is taken from his book. Braddock has filed suit in the
state of Illinois claiming that his book “The Soul Shattering” likely
served as the inspiration for Jolie’s film. Braddock also claims that he
had previously met with a producer named Edin Sarkic about an
adaptation of the film. Sarkic later worked to get Jolie’s permission to
shoot the film in Sarajevo.
