With
“Burlesque,” “Footloose” and the recently wrapped “Rock of Ages”
big-screen adaptation under her acting belt, Julianne Hough’s film
career is in full momentum. The dancer-turned-singer-turned-actress has
signed on for her next movie project, co-starring once again with
funnyman Russell Brand, who’s also in “Rock of Ages.” Julianne will star
as a young woman who loses herself in the perversion of the Las Vegas
nightlife, following her loss of faith after surviving a plane crash.
Her character finds an unlikely companion, portrayed by Russell, who
helps the troubled woman on her path to self discovery. Julianne’s
untitled movie project is the directorial debut for Diablo Cody, who won
the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2007 for “Juno.”

Jennifer Hudson Opens Chicago Weight Loss Center
Singer
and actress Jennifer Hudson has lost 80 pounds and is a Weight Watchers
spokeswoman. Now she hopes to show her commitment to a healthier
lifestyle with the opening of a new weight loss center in Chicago. The
Chicago native opened the Jennifer Hudson Weight Watchers Center
yesterday. Weight Watchers says it’ll donate a portion of the center’s
revenue to a foundation in honor of Hudson’s late nephew, Julian King.
The bodies of Hudson’s mother and brother were found in the family’s
home in October 2008. King’s body was found days later in a vehicle. All
three had been shot.
Another ‘Real Housewife’ On ‘Celebrity Apprentice’
Another
“Real Housewife” may bring a drama to “The Celebrity Apprentice.” After
having “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes in the cast
line-up last season, Teresa Giudice of “The Real Housewives of New
Jersey” is reportedly joining the upcoming fifth season of the NBC
reality series. After a major blowout with fellow contestant Star Jones,
NeNe abruptly quit the show without giving notice, prompting Donald
Trump to say at the Boardroom, “To you, NeNe, I say, you’re fired. And
you’re a quitter.”
Pauly D Launching Tanning Products
DJ
Pauly D is determined to make everyone look like him and his “Jersey
Shore” gang. The reality show star is creating his own line of tanning
products that would be sold in high-end professional salons this winter.
Pauly has signed a reportedly 50/50 deal with Devoted Creations Inc. to
have the exclusive line of tanning lotions and sunless products
distributed worldwide. Pauly’s competitor would be his own “Jersey
Shore” co-star The Situation, who struck a deal with Boca Tanning Club
to become their new face. MPS Entertainment, a company he runs with his
brother, gets an ownership stake in the business. Situation’s tanning
salons will open in New jersey within next year.
Zombie Game ‘Dead Island’ To Hit The Big Screen
Lionsgate
has picked up the movie rights to the Deep Silver video game, “Dead
Island.” A survival game about vacationers attacked by the undead on an
island paradise, the game became a viral sensation when its trailer was
released in February this year. “Dead Island” will also be
simultaneously developed into forthcoming graphic novels, novels and
other extensions.
‘Men’ Producer Writing Tell-All Book On Sheen
The
legal wrangling may be over, but “Two and Half Men” producer Chuck
Lorre isn’t completely recovered from his ordeal with Charlie Sheen.
After Monday night’s episode, Lorre’s vanity card referenced the recent
legal settlement but hinted that this might not be the producer’s final
word on the matter. “Sometime last year I realized I had become the
unwilling contestant in a reality show,” Lorre wrote. “I didn’t
understand the rules, wasn’t sure if there even were any, and pretty
much hated every second of it. For many months I kept hoping and praying
that it would end. But it did not. Somewhere along the way, something
inside me died.” He ended with, “There’s just one problem. That thing
inside me that died? It walks at night. It’s angry. It’s hungry. And
worst of all… it’s writing a tell-all book.” Back in February, Sheen had
threatened his own tell-all book, titled “When the Laughter Stopped.”
Andy Rooney Ends ‘60 Minutes’ Commentary
Andy
Rooney is stepping down from his regular duties as end-of-episode
commentator on “60 Minutes,” CBS announced yesterday. Rooney, 92, had
presided over the “A Few Minutes With Andy Rooney” since 1978. Rooney
will officially announce his retirement from the segment on Sunday’s “60
Minutes,” which will mark his 1,097th essay for the weekly program.
Rooney’s announcement will be preceded by a segment in which Rooney will
look back at his career in an interview with “60 Minutes” anchor Morley
Safer.
‘Red Dawn’ Reboot
Independent
distributor FilmDistrict has reportedly signed on to release the reboot
of the 1980s classic “Red Dawn.” The film, which will star “Thor” actor
Chris Hemsworth, will hit theatres sometime in 2012. The original film
came out in 1984 and starred Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, Lea Thompson
and Jennifer Grey as a band of high school kids who become a rogue
fighting force after the U.S. is invaded by the Russian Army. The film
was originally produced in association with MGM and, after their
bankruptcy in 2009, no other studios chose to pick up “Red Dawn” for
fear of alienating the growing Chinese film market. Producers have since
made digital corrections, changing the invading force from Chinese to
North Korean.
Octomom’s House For Sale
Octomom
has put her house up for sale in La Habra, California – apparently
under pressure. Nadya Suleman, who’s lived in the house for more than
two years with her many children, owes a $450,000 balloon payment to the
note holder. He’s threatened eviction unless she pays up and reportedly
has tried to convince her to sell it. Suleman’s father bought the
2,583-square-foot home in 2009 for $565,000. It went on the market
Friday for $525,000.
No Tax Credit For ‘Jersey Shore’
“Jersey
Shore” won’t get a New Jersey tax break because the governor says the
show hurts the state’s image. Governor Chris Christie is blocking a
$420,000 film credit that had been approved for the show last week by
the state Economic Development Authority. The governor says he has “no
interest in policing the content of such projects.” But he says as chief
executive he’s “duty-bound to ensure that taxpayers are not footing a
$420,000 bill for a project which does nothing more than perpetuate
misconceptions about the State and its citizens.”
Gibson Denies Giving $100,000 To Grigorieva’s Son
Mel
Gibson has denied that he is paying Oksana Grigorieva’s son Alexander
Dalton in exchange for a promise that the 14-year-old will not sue him.
According to TMZ, a rep for the actor says they oppose legal documents
that Grigorieva’s lawyers filed, which maintain that Gibson paid the
teen $100,000. They say there were no other conditions to the original
deal Gibson struck with Grigorieva in court, last month. They also add
that it is up to Oksana as to how she will use the $250,000 payment she
was rewarded as part of her custody settlement with Gibson.
Elisabetta Canalis Cut From 'Dancing With The Stars'
Elisabetta
Canalis and her professional dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy were
eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" last night. "It was a great
adventure. So, I want to thank everybody," the Italian actress and
former girlfriend of George Clooney said. Canalis and Chmerkovskiy were
the second couple booted from the Season 13 competition. The first was
Los Angeles Lakers star Ron Artest and his professional partner Peta
Murgatroyd. Meanwhile, Nancy Grace is denying that she showed more than
she should have on Monday night's performance show. Grace wore a
tightly-fitted, low-cut dress as she jived across the dance floor with
professional partner Tristan MacManus. Following a dip at the end of her
performance, the camera cut to unusual shots of the audience on two
separate occasions, only to focus back on Grace adjusting the top half
of her ensemble. Grace said if viewers saw anything pop out of her
dress, it certainly wasn't her skin. "When I got dressed, I was wearing
Petals (nipple covers) and an industrial strength bra... my dancing
dress also had a bra sewn into it," Grace said. "I have been judged
guilty without a trial... I will go to my grave denying the nip slip."

‘L-Word’ Star Kisses Girl, Gets Escorted Off Plane
A
lesbian actress who starred in “The L-Word” said she kissed a girl and
got escorted off of a Southwest Airlines flight yesterday for doing it.
Leisha Hailey took to Twitter to call for a boycott of the carrier after
a flight attendant told them other passengers had complained after
witnessing the affection. While she says she was being “discriminated
against,” Southwest say Hailey was approached “based solely on behavior
and not gender.” The airline’s said passengers were characterizing the
behavior as excessive. A discussion followed on the flight and the
airline said it “escalated to a level that was better resolved on the
ground.”
Ellen DeGeneres ‘Fine’ After Chest Pains
Paramedics
were called to the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California, yesterday
to treat Ellen DeGeneres. Ellen was suffering from chest pains, but she
appears to be fine and even joked about it while taping her show
afterward. “You know, I like to tell you what’s going on in my life. So
today, I will tell you what’s going on in my life because TMZ is also
telling you what’s going on in my life,” Ellen told her audience. She
was referencing the website’s story from earlier in the day about
paramedics being called out to the lot. The episode will air today.
“What happened was last night I was having chest pains. So this morning
the paramedics came to look at me. First of all, I’m fine,” Ellen
continued. She went on to joke about the visit by the medical personnel,
but did reveal she decided to put safety first after feeling the chest
pains again Monday morning.

Season
9 “Biggest Loser” contestant Sam Poueu is getting better. After falling
from the roof of a four-story apartment building in San Francisco on
September 3rd, Poueu has been through three surgeries to treat many
internal injuries and head trauma. His family says he is now of out ICU
and in stable condition. He is also “talking and visiting with family
members and close friends who come to see him in the hospital,” the
families said. Poueu, 25, had attempted to climb down a fire escape at a
friend's apartment after being unknowingly locked out while on the
building's rooftop when he fell.
Justin Timberlake To Play Neil Bogart In 'Spinning Gold'
Justin
Timberlake has been cast in the Neil Bogart biopic “Spinning Gold,”
playing the self-made music producer, whose Casablanca Records was
responsible for launching the careers of 1970s icons including KISS,
Donna Summer, The Village People, and Parliament. The film also marks
Timberlake’s debut as a feature producer in association with Boardwalk
Entertainment Group, which Bogart’s sons co-founded.
Sheen And Warner Bros. Settle 'Men' Lawsuit
The
long battle that pitted actor Charlie Sheen against “Two and a Half
Men” creator Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros. Television is finally over.
Sheen had filed a $100 million wrongful termination lawsuit after losing
his role as Charlie Harper on the hit sitcom earlier this year. Just
prior to his firing, the actor had launched verbal attacks against Lorre
in the media. Warner Bros. confirmed the news of a settlement
yesterday, saying all three parties “have resolved their dispute” to
“mutual satisfaction.” “The pending lawsuit and arbitration will be
dismissed as to all parties. The parties have agreed to maintain
confidentiality over the terms of the settlement,” a statement said.
Though there are no details available, a source told the Los Angeles
Times last week that Warner Bros. would pay the actor about $25 million
to settle.

special called “Craig Ferguson: Does This Need to Be Said?” on Comedy
Central. Ferguson's second stand-up special for the network airs October
15th and will be released on DVD October 18th. “Filmed at the Polk
Theater in Nashville, Ferguson explains his love for 'friendly cussing'
and the frustration he feels when he cannot use certain 'naughty' words
on the 'The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson,'" Comedy Central said.
“Ferguson explains what sex education was like growing up in Scotland,
how celebrity scandals make for easy work days and how terrifying it was
to meet '[James] Bond-like' villain Dick Cheney, while hosting the
White House correspondents dinner.”
Antoine Dodson Arrested
Antoine
Dodson, the man who coined the phrase “Hide Ya Kids, Hide Ya Wife” via
his wildly popular YouTube clip, was arrested Saturday after violating a
noise ordinance in Huntsville, Alabama. Police said Dodson was blasting
his music at 6:20 p.m., was subsequently stopped, and it was discovered
that there was a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear in
court for pot possession back in April. He was released on $516 bail.
Bling Ring Ringleader Cops Plea
One
of the accused ringleaders of a group of young adults who broke into
celebrities' homes faces up to four years in prison. Rachel Lee, 21, has
pleaded no contest to burglarizing the home of Audrina Patridge. She'll
be sentenced October 21st. Lee's plea was part of a deal with
prosecutors who dropped some other charges. Lee was accused of helping
plan break-ins at the homes of stars like Lindsay Lohan and Paris
Hilton. She initially was charged with a burglary at Lohan's home, but a
judge dropped that count last year. Lee is the second member of the
so-called “Bling Ring” to enter pleas in the string of burglaries.
Alexis Neiers pleaded no contest last year to burglarizing Orlando
Bloom's home. Prosecutors estimate the group stole more than $3 million
in jewelry, designer clothes and accessories from the stars' homes. Much
of it has not been found.
How Jack Huston Developed His Voice For ‘Boardwalk Empire’
If
it sounds like it's uncomfortable for Jack Huston's character in
“Boardwalk Empire,” Richard Harrow, to speak, that's because it is for
real. He wears half a mask to cover the part of Harrow's face that was
blown off during The Great War, as World War I was called. Huston says
for his audition he wedged a wad of gauze in his mouth to pull his mouth
to the side. He says he still does that under the mask “to make it
uncomfortable to speak.” Huston also created that croaky voice, adding
clucks and tics to his delivery because he says he “imagined that, along
with being disfigured, he had his vocal cords damaged.” Jack Huston,
28, comes from a long line of serious show biz people. He's the nephew
of Anjelica Huston and Danny Huston. His grandfather was director and
actor John Huston.
Kim Delaney Meltdown
What
was up with Kim Delaney? On Thursday, the actress, who has a history of
drug abuse, had to be escorted from the podium in Philadelphia after
struggling to read her speech from a teleprompter at an event honoring
former Defense Secretary Robert Gates. Delaney's remarks were punctuated
by long pauses and fragmented sentences. After several minutes, a video
began to play and she was escorted away from the podium to a chair on
the side of the stage. Delaney had been at the event because she stars
in “Army Wives” and she's from Philadelphia.
Jonah Hill Learned Stat Talk For ‘Moneyball’
Jonah
Hill has to spew some serious statistics as Billy Beane's assistant in
“Moneyball.” It didn't come naturally since he’s not an expert in
sabermetrics. (Sabermetrics is the mathematical and statistical analysis
of baseball records.) So Hill got a tutor who taught him how to make
speaking in numbers sound natural. He says it was important for him to
be able to “speak the language of the character.”
Bravo Apologizes For ‘Millionaire Matchmaker’
Bravo
is apologizing for controversial statements made by Pattie Stanger of
the show “Millionaire Matchmaker” regarding gay and Jewish communities
when she appeared on “Watch What Happens Lives.” Stanger caused an
uproar when she tried to defend her belief that gay men can’t be
monogamous. “In the gay world, it will always be open. There is no
curbing the gay man. I have tried to curb you people,” she told host
Andy Cohen, who replied, “I am gay and am down for the monogamy.” Later,
Stanger insulted Jewish men by saying, “Jewish men lie.” Cohen fired
back, “So I’m a non-monogamous liar.” Bravo issued a statement
apologizing and saying that the words came from Stanger, not the
network.
Nancy Grace Has Nip Slip On ‘Dancing’
Oops!
Nancy Grace had a nip slip on last night’s “Dancing with the Stars,”
the 51-year-old HLN host had a major wardrobe malfunction. After ABC
quickly cut away to a static shot of the audience, Grace readjusted her
dress and buried her face in partner Tristan MacManus’ shoulder. “On the
European version that would be perfectly fine,” Tom Bergeron joked. But
the judges were able to see past the partial nudity and appreciate
Grace’s performance. Bruno Tonioli gushed. “It was a bit top-heavy at
times, my darling. And I got an eyeful! I couldn’t miss that. But it
really is great to see you taking over the dance floor and performing.”
Grace’s nip slip apparently did not affect her final scores – she earned
a 6 from Inaba, an 8 from Goodman, and a 7 from Tonioli, making her
total score 21 out of 30 points. The night’s top-scorer was Ricki Lake,
who earned 23 out of 30 points, while Chaz Bono, whose was in pain with
his knees, was at the bottom of the leader board, earning 17 out of 30
points.

Gayle King Sued By Matchmaker
Gayle
King is being sued by a famous matchmaker who claims she hooked Gayle
up with a bunch of “attractive, fit, and wealthy men,” but Gayle reneged
on her promise to put her on “Oprah.” Orly Hadida claims she made a
deal with Gayle two years ago to provide her with matchmaking services.
According to the lawsuit, Orly waived her $500,000 fee, and in return
Gayle promised to get Orly a guest spot on “Oprah.” Orly alleges she
spent hundreds of hours hooking Gayle up with five wonderful men and
that King went on several dates with more than one of them. Orly
panicked in May, realizing Oprah’s show was coming to an end. She says
she sent Gayle an email saying since she clearly wasn’t going to appear
on “Oprah” she wanted to get paid.
George Clooney Ties The Knot – In New Ad
Confirmed
bachelor George Clooney has tied the knot – in a new commercial for
Norwegian bank DNB NOR. In the ad, an apparent bride wakes up confused
and alone in a hotel room. She flips through Polaroids strewn on the
desk and holds up her wedding dress. That’s when Clooney walks into the
room in pajamas. “I was letting you sleep,” says the actor, before
showing his new wife pictures of real estate online. “I’ve been looking
at places for us in Lillestrom,” he tells the shocked newlywed,
struggling with the pronunciation of the Norwegian city.
Lea Michele And Boyfriend Split
After
more than a year together, Lea Michele and Broadway actor Theo Stockman
have called it quits. A rep for the “Glee” star, 25, says the
relationship simply ran its course. “They will always be friends,” adds
the rep. Stockman and Michele started dating after they were spotted at
an April 2010 event in New York celebrating Time’s 100 Most Influential
People issue.
Criss Angel Engaged
Magician
Criss Angel is engaged. The illusionist is set to wed girlfriend Sandra
Gonzalez after he proposed while they were in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico,
on September 7th. The pair first met on the set of Criss’ TV series
“Mindfreak” four years ago. He proposed with a five carat diamond and
platinum ring worth an estimated $300,000. No date has yet been set for
the marriage, which will be Criss’ second, after he was previously wed
to JoAnn Winkhart from 2002 to 2005. He has also dated a string of
beauties including Playboy model Holly Madison, Pamela Anderson and
Cameron Diaz.
‘Avatar’ Theme Park Coming To Disney World
Walt
Disney has sealed a deal with filmmaker James Cameron and producer Jon
Landau, Fox and Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment to create themed
attractions at Disney parks based on the 2009 movie “Avatar.” The first
themed “land” will be built at Disney World in Orlando, with
construction expected to start by 2013. The first Avatar attraction will
be inside the Animal Kingdom park. Disney said this was chosen because
“with its emphasis on living in harmony with nature, Animal Kingdom is a
natural fit for the Avatar stories, which share the same philosophy.”
The deal is exclusive to Disney, which plans to roll out other Avatar
attractions over time. Cameron is planning sequels to the blockbuster
hit, which surpassed his own “Titanic” as the highest-grossing movie in
history.
Emmys Organizers Explain Conaway Omission
Emmy
organizers said “time limitations” were why several Hollywood actors,
including Jeff Conaway, were omitted from the “In Memoriam” segment of
Sunday’s show. The “Taxi” star, “Seinfeld” cast member Len Lesser and
“The Cosby Show’s” Clarice Taylor were noticeably missing from the
tribute to members of the television industry who died this past year.
Emmy organizers subsequently acknowledged the omission on the awards
show website. They added, “In an effort to pay tribute to as many people
as possible, the Television Academy created an ‘In Memoriam’ database
on its Web site, Emmys.tv.”
Billy Ray Cyrus Headed To ‘90210’
The
new season of “90210” just got a little more country. Billy Ray Cyrus
has reportedly signed on to play Judd Ridge, the father of southern rich
kid Austin, played by Justin Deeley. The role won’t be much of a
stretch for Cyrus – he will play a country star named Jud. Cyrus’
episode will air in November. He currently hosts the reality show
“Surprise Homecoming” on TLC. Earlier this year, he finished his
five-year run on “Hannah Montana” with his daughter, Miley.
Buzz Aldrin’s Young Girlfriend
Buzz
Aldrin has a new, younger girlfriend. After the scandal of a messy
divorce, it appears that Buzz is moving on with a woman 30 years his
junior – and his ex-wife of 23 years is calling the woman a “predator.”
Aldrin is reportedly dating Michelle Sucillon, 51, a former senior event
marketing manager for Borders. Sucillon oversaw West Coast events,
including author appearances, where she met the 81-year-old astronaut.
The couple met at a 2009 Los Angeles signing for Aldrin’s book,
“Magnificent Desolation: The Long Journey Home from the Moon.” Aldrin
filed for divorce in June, but his soon-to-be ex-wife Lois Driggs Cannon
said he has been seeing Sucillon for about a year. “He’s 81 and having
kind of a midlife crisis in old age,” Cannon said. “I still think Buzz
is the most wonderful man in the world, and I still love him.”
Sheen Pact Worth Over $125 Million
The
settlement Charlie Sheen reached with Warner Bros. regarding his firing
will reportedly be worth more than $125 million over the next decade.
According to TMZ, Sheen is expected to get a one-time $25 million
payment in about two weeks, then about $100 million in syndication
profits over the next seven to 10 years for the 180 episodes of the show
he taped. Sheen was fired from the Warner Bros. sitcom “Two and a Half
Men” after eight seasons because of his erratic behavior and substance
abuse, as well as for disparaging remarks he made about series creator
Chuck Lorre, his co-stars and the show itself. He later announced he is
planning to star in a comedy series inspired by the film “Anger
Management,” however it is unclear exactly when or where the show might
air.
Paris Hilton Impresses Judge
Paris
Hilton went above and beyond the call of duty in her Vegas cocaine
case, according to the judge. Paris’ lawyer showed up to a Vegas
courtroom yesterday for a progress hearing, a year after Paris pled
guilty to cocaine possession. The judge was thrilled, saying Paris was
only supposed to do 200 hours of community service but clocked a grand
total of 228. Paris also paid $2,000 in fines and successfully completed
an “intensive” substance abuse program. The case is now closed.
Tom Sizemore Arrested
Tom
Sizemore is crying foul after he was arrested on an outstanding battery
warrant. The actor received a visit from Los Angeles police early
yesterday morning after an acquaintance reportedly stole a car and
claimed he was living at Sizemore’s apartment. But when cops ran a check
on the actor’s driving license, they discovered Sizemore was wanted and
he was taken into custody too. The actor, who was held on $26,000 bail,
says the warrant is the result of a clerical error – claiming someone
at the courthouse failed to log his community service hours stemming
from his 2009 spousal battery arrest.
‘Two And A Half Men,’ Sheen Scores Record Ratings
“Two
and a Half Men” had its most-watched episode ever Monday – without
Charlie Sheen. The sitcom drew 27.8 million total viewers to its Season 9
premiere, which introduced Ashton Kutcher as Sheen’s replacement. It
was the best number ever for “Men,” which suffered a shortened eighth
season earlier this year after producers fired Sheen. Kutcher was
introduced mid-episode in “Men” as Walden Schmidt, a lovelorn Internet
billionaire who had tried to commit suicide by walking into the ocean
near the Malibu beach house once owned by Charlie Harper (Sheen). The
episode’s opening revealed that Harper had died after a girlfriend had
learned of his infidelity and, it was assumed, pushed him in front of an
oncoming train. Meanwhile, Sheen appeared Monday as the “victim” of a
Comedy Central roast that reached 6.4 million people. It was the second
most-watched telecast in the cable network’s history, behind only Jeff
Dunham’s holiday special in 2008.
Klum’s Legs Insured For $2 Million
Heidi
Klum has had her famous legs insured. But while other models and actors
take insurance like that out on themselves, it was one of Klum’s
clients that insured her gorgeous legs for $2 million. She said, “I
didn’t personally have them insured, but a client of mine did.
Basically, I was in London, and I had to go to this place where they
check out your legs. They would look at them and I had one scar here
from when I fell on a glass, so this [left leg] isn’t as pricey and this
[right] one.”
No More World Peace For ‘Dancing With the Stars’
The
first couple booted off Season 13 of “Dancing With the Stars” were Ron
Artest a.k.a. Metta World Peace and his partner Peta Murgatroyd. Nancy
Grace and Rob Kardashian joined Artest as the final three in jeopardy
last night. LMFAO and Harry Connick Jr. performed. Safe to dance again
next week are Ricki Lake, Elisabetta Canalis, Hope Solo, Kristin
Cavallari, Chynna Phillips, Chaz Bono, J.R. Martinez, David Arquette and
Carson Kressley.

‘The Lion King’ Takes Box Office Crown
Seventeen
years after its first release, “The Lion King” is again No. 1 at the
box office, wildly exceeding pre-release projections by pulling in an
estimated $29.3 million. A 3D re-release propelled the animated feature
far beyond its expected $15 million take and well past the weekend’s
three debuts – all of which had disappointing starts. The No. 2 movie of
the weekend was a holdover from last week; “Contagion” grossed $14.5
million. “Drive,” which grossed an estimated $11 million, was the only
new movie in the top three. The “Lion King” encore lifted the movie’s
overall revenues to $357.8 million. The film passed “Finding Nemo” ($340
million) to become the third highest-grossing animated film on record.
“Shrek 2” holds the title at $441 million, followed by “Toy Story 3’s”
$415 million.
Scarlett Johansson Photo Hacker Identified By FBI
After
nude photos of Scarlett Johansson were leaked on the internet last
week, the FBI has reportedly identified the ringleader of the hackers
who released the images. Law enforcement sources revealed to TMZ that
the FBI is “honing in” on the group of hackers and already knows the
identity of at least one member of the group, the alleged ringleader.
The same hackers are reportedly responsible for cell phone hacks on
Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Alba, Lindsey Vonn, Ali Larter and Emma
Caulfield.
Alec Baldwin Walks Out Of Emmys
Alec
Baldwin pulled out of last night’s Emmy telecast after a joke about
News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch was cut from a segment that he had recorded
to open the broadcast. Baldwin tweeted “I did a short Emmy pretape a
few days ago. Now they tell me NewsCorp may cut the funniest line.” The
joke reportedly involved Baldwin on a telephone and saying, “Is that
you, Rupert?” a reference to News Corp’s much-publicized phone-hacking
scandal. Fox said the network believed it was inappropriate to make
light of an issue being taken seriously by the company. After the joke
was cut, Baldwin no longer wanted his segment to be part of the
broadcast and Fox re-shot the clip with Leonard Nimoy.
Rosie Moves Into Oprah’s Old Digs
Oprah
Winfrey and Rosie O’Donnell unveiled a sign last week in front of
Chicago’s Harpo Studios. It reads: “Harpo Studios. The Rosie Show.
Former Home of The Oprah Winfrey Show.” O’Donnell has started work in
the same studio where Winfrey taped her talk show until it ended in May
after 25 years. O’Donnell’s one-hour talk show debuts next month on the
Oprah Winfrey Network. Rosie says she’s bought a Chicago home and
Winfrey says she still keeps an office at Harpo Studios. Winfrey said
the pair “collaborate on everything.”
Henry Winkler Receives Honorary OBE
Henry
Winkler has been awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his
work with dyslexic children in the United Kingdom. The actor, who was
diagnosed with dyslexia as an adult, has written a book about a dyslexic
boy called Hank Zipzer and has toured British schools to talk about his
experiences growing up unaware of his disability. He was awarded the
OBE at a ceremony at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C.
The ‘X-Rated’ Factor
It
was more like the “Triple-X-Factor” for one contestant on the new Fox
talent show “The X Factor.” The man auditioned for the show by
performing an original song, “I’m a Stud,” and as part of it he pulled
his pants down and danced onstage. In a clip shown on a preview last
week, Fox showed a graphic of the show’s “X” superimposed over the man’s
crotch. During the man’s performance, Paula Abdul got up and went

Aber, accusing him and others of elder abuse, fraud and stealing his
income. Court documents allege the stepson fraudulently took control of
all Rooney’s income which typically amounted to $12,000 a month. Rooney
accuses the stepson of applying for and using credit cards in Rooney’s
name to lead an extravagant lifestyle. The stepson claims the lawsuit
isn’t being driven by Rooney but by Rooney’s conservators. Rooney
alleges that Aber has been physically and emotionally abusing him for
several years by depriving him of food and medications, prohibiting him
from leaving his house and taking control over his finances. Aber denies
the allegations.
Charlie Sheen Mellows Out
Charlie
Sheen seems to have mellowed a bit. Sheen tells Jay Leno those
catchphrases like “tiger’s blood” and “Adonis DNA” weren’t meant to be
statements of fact, they were just jokes. Sheen was fired from his
top-rated CBS series “Two and a Half Men” but says he’s no longer angry.
Sheen adds he would have fired himself over his outrageous behavior.
Charlie says he has even patched up things with his father, Martin
Sheen, and they are buddies again.
Bail Bondsman Sues Over ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’
Colorado
Springs bail bondsman Bobby Brown is suing the creators of the A&E
television show “Dog the Bounty Hunter” for more than $75,000 in
damages. The lawsuit filed against A&E, Hybrid Films and D&D
Television says Brown appeared in more than 40 shows of “Dog the Bounty
Hunter.” It says he was paid $6,000 for his contributions but wasn’t
compensated for each Colorado episode. Brown feels the network and the
show’s creators used his likeness for their own gain without properly
compensating him and made false promises that led him to focus on the
show instead of his bail bonds business.

Nude Johansson Photos Spark Legal Threats
Scarlett
Johansson’s attorney, Martin Singer, is threatening to sue websites
that don’t remove stolen, private nude photos of the actress. Singer
sent a cease-and-desist letter to numerous gossip outlets that posted
the sexy self-portraits, which were apparently hacked from the star’s
cellphone and leaked online. He demanded the sites remove the “stolen,
copyright-protected private photographs” immediately or face a lawsuit.
The FBI is investigating whether the actress is the target of a hacking
ring that has been stealing pictures and videos and leaking them on the
internet. Miley Cyrus, Jessica Alba, Christina Aguilera, Vanessa Hudgens
and Demi Lovato allegedly also have been victims of photo-theft
schemes.
Brad Pitt Is A ‘Satisfied Man’
Brad
Pitt may appear to be on top of the world, but he insists that
happiness is “overrated.” “I put much more emphasis on being a satisfied
man,” the actor tells Parade magazine in an interview that will be
published Sunday. “I’m satisfied with making true choices and finding
the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much.”
Pitt describes his partner, Angelina Jolie, as “such a great mom,” and
says starting a family with her was “one of the greatest, smartest
things I ever did.” “A family is a risky venture, because the greater
the love, the greater the loss,” he adds. “That’s the trade-off.” When
it comes to his former marriage with Jennifer Aniston, Pitt admits that
it was a setback for him. “I spent the ‘90s trying to hide out, trying
to duck the full celebrity cacophony,” Pitt says. He remembers that
period in his life as very dull. “It became very clear to me that I was
intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t
living an interesting life myself.”

Redmond
O’Neal, who was sentenced to a year in a West Los Angeles rehab
facility after pleading no contest to felony heroin possession several
weeks ago, has tested positive for drugs. The dirty test is being
reported to the court, which could land him in some serious trouble.
According to an insider, “Someone snuck drugs into the rehab facility on
Saturday for Redmond. He was given a drug test after he started acting
suspiciously, and it came back positive.” Judge Keith Schwartz told
Redmond that this was his last chance, and if he messes up again he will
be sent to state prison. Redmond is expected back into court sometime

Nicolas
Cage says making the new thriller movie “Trespass” hit close to home.
Cage, at the Toronto film festival promoting the film about a home
invasion, said that he has actually lived through the nightmare in real
life. “It was two in the morning. I was living in Orange County at the
time and was asleep with my wife. My two-year old at the time was in
another room. I opened my eyes and there was a naked man wearing my
leather jacket eating a Fudgesicle in front of my bed,” he told
reporters yesterday. “I know it sounds funny ... but it was horrifying.”
Cage said the ordeal ended after he talked the man out of the house and
police arrived. He did not press charges as the man had mental
problems. But Cage, who now lives in Nassau, Bahamas, said he could not
stay in the house after that.

“Today” show appearance. The “Kate Plus 8” star responded to former
husband Jon’s criticism that “reality TV is not a career” in an
interview with Matt Lauer on the NBC morning show on Monday. “It’s a
situation where Jon may be accepting of mediocre for his kids and
working a regular job. I want the best for my kids and the best
opportunities in life... and this has provided that,” Kate said. The
remarks upset parents, who were offended by her insinuation that having a
regular job is a bad thing, prompting her to clarify her statements.

Michaele Salahi On A Journey, Not Kidnapped
White
House gatecrashers Tareq and Michaele Salahi are at the center of
another controversy. Michaele Salahi has run away from home – with
Journey guitarist Neal Schon. Her distressed husband, Tareq Salahi,
called authorities several times over Tuesday and Wednesday to report
his wife missing and he thought she was kidnapped. However, the “Real
Housewives of D.C.” star told the Warren County, Virginia, Sheriff’s
Office that she was “with a good friend and was where she wanted to be.”
Apparently, Salahi has been dating Schon and joined him for a Journey
concert in Nashville. The pair has since moved on to Memphis and are
staying together. That is news to Salahi’s husband, who had earlier made
a tearful appearance on NBC where he implored, “I swear to god, this is

how nude photos, which she appears to have taken of herself, were leaked
on a website yesterday. Later in the day, four pictures were leaked
from Kunis’ phone. Two show Justin Timberlake looking seductive. In one
picture, he’s lying shirtless in bed. In another, he jokingly wears a
pair of pink panties on his head. There’s another photo of Mila in the
bathtub, showing only her head. And one photo shows an unidentified nude
man. The hacker has also posted some texts which he claims are
exchanges between Timberlake and Kunis.

Gordon Ramsay Dwarf Porn Lookalike Eaten By Badgers
This
is quite possibly the most bizarre story we have ever seen. Percy
Foster, Gordon Ramsay’s gay dwarf porn lookalike, was reportedly
discovered dead and partially eaten inside a badger den in Wales.
Workers were preparing to gas the den when they came across the 3’6”
Foster buried deep within its tunnels. The 35-year old was new to the
world of porn but had impressed producers with his uncanny resemblance
to the celebrity chef. However, the stress may have been too much for
Foster, one adult film producer noted that “Percy was a little guy with
big problems. He was doing well but he was under pressure 24/7, like
everyone in this … business.” Investigators have not ruled out the
possibility of suicide, according to reports.

school. His half is $11,000 a year. Glaser says the court excused him
from paying, but his ex disagrees.

$1 million and their own headlining Las Vegas act. Rat Pack crooner
Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., who went from washing cars and living on the
street to performing in front of millions, won the competition. As the
crowd screamed, the West Virginia native put his hands over his face and
was rushed by members of the second-place act, the dance group
Silhouettes. He narrowly beat out Silhouettes, which had the show’s
youngest contestant to date. Glow-in-the-dark dancers Team iLuminate and
the young music group Poplyfe finished third and fourth, respectively.
The finalists learned their fate at the end of 2-hour finale featuring
duets and performances by Def Leppard, Queen Latifah, Tony Bennett,

Mark Wahlberg Slashes Price Of Hollywood Home

failing to attract any buyers. He’s now relisted the lavish
seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom home at $13.95 million. Wahlberg is
reportedly building a new pad in nearby Beverly Park.

Limo Driver Sues ‘Nail Files’
A
limo driver is suing the TV Guide reality show “Nail Files,” claiming
the show recorded him when he went into diabetic shock and made it
appear like he was drunk. Fred Busby was sent to pick up “Nail Files”
star and celebrity manicurist Katie Cazorla and drive her to the
airport. According to TMZ, Busby was greeted by Cazorla and her reality
TV crew, who were filming, though he never consented to appear on the
show. During the ride, he went into diabetic shock and passed out. He
says the last thing he heard was a passenger screaming, “Is this guy
drunk?” When he came to, he was asked if the footage could be used on
the show, a request he said he denied. But, the show aired it anyway and
made it appear as if he were drunk. He’s asking for damages, part of
the show’s profit, and that the episode be barred from airing ever
again.
The Situation Sues Abercrombie & Fitch
Abercrombie
& Fitch offered Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino money to stop
wearing their clothing, but “The Situation” is mad that the clothing
company is trying to capitalize off his name. He served the company with
a cease-and-desist order to get them to stop associating themselves
with his so-called “brand,” citing the clothing company’s “Fitchuation”
and “G.T.L. (You know the deal) Fitch” shirts. “We doubt that you could
provide a valid reason why you used these specific designs, except to
create a (false) association with our client’s goodwill,” a letter from
Sorrentino’s lawyers to A&F stated.
Did Ryan O’Neal Leave ‘Dancing’ Over Nancy Grace
Ryan
O’Neal recently pulled out of “Dancing With the Stars,” citing a knee
injury – but that may not be the entire story. Various sources are now
reporting that O’Neal may have actually taken leave of the show because
of a beef with fellow contestant Nancy Grace. Several sources close to
“DWTS” have confirmed Grace has made several comments about O’Neal’s
family, including his troubled son Redmond. TMZ reports that Grace
questioned O’Neal’s parenting style in light of Redmond’s drug
addiction. So far, O’Neal has only confirmed his departure from the show
due to a knee injury and has issued no comment about Grace. Grace,
meanwhile, claims she never said anything about O’Neal or his family.

Prosecutors Appeal Dismissal In Anna Nicole Case
Anna
Nicole Smith’s old boyfriend and psychiatrist might not be off the
hook. Prosecutors have filed an appeal trying to reinstate three
convictions against Howard K. Stern and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich. The
two conspiracy counts against Eroshevich and Stern involved using fake
names to get prescription pain medications for Smith in the final months
of her life. Eroshevich also was convicted of one count of getting
Vicodin under a false name. The judge found that the two men were trying
to protect Smith’s name as a celebrity. He dismissed the conspiracy
counts and reduced the one conviction against Eroshevich to a
misdemeanor. Prosecutors claim the judge was biased against them and
created a celebrity exception to the law.
Steve-O Joke Deleted From Sheen Roast
Comedy
Central agrees that one joke from Steve-O at Charlie Sheen’s roast
apparently went way over the line. The network says that joke will be
cut from the final version of the roast when it airs Monday. At the
roast this past Saturday, Steve-O said, “The last time this many
nobodies got roasted at least the band Great White was playing.” Rhode
Island comedian David Kane’s son Nicholas O’Neill died in the fire. Kane
says he was insulted by the joke and asked for it to be pulled from the
broadcast.
