Johnny Depp is reuniting with director Tim Burton for a big-screen remake of the gothic vampire TV soap opera “Dark Shadows.” Depp was reportedly obsessed with the show when he was a child. Depp will portray vampire Barnabas Collins, who lives in a Maine manor and is searching for his lost love. The role of Collins was originally played by Jonathan Frid. Seth Grahame-Smith, who wrote the best-selling novels “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” and “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,” has been hired to work on the screenplay. Filming is expected to begin in April.
