After taking a break from Season 12 of “Dancing with the Stars,” Derek Hough is returning to the show. “It was good for me to take a season off and see what the audience sees,” Hough said. “It gave me a new boost and inspiration to want to do some great things.” Hough had left the show last season because he wanted to “grow and expand a little bit as an artist.” During his time off, Hough starred in an upcoming dance movie called “Cobu 3D.” Now the 26-year-old dancer is back to try to win the show’s mirror ball trophy for a fourth time. Hough is also reportedly in the running for the lead role in Kenny Ortega’s remake of “Dirty Dancing.” “Dancing with the Stars” returns to ABC on September 19th.
