Beauty Pageant Moms Sue Over Talk Show

The mothers of some beauty pageant contestants say they were tricked into appearing on a TV talk show and then accused of physically and sexually abusing their children. Five women are suing in Illinois court, claiming producers of “The Big Willie Show” fraudulently induced them to appear by claiming the show would portray them in a positive light. The talk show appears on WGN in Chicago and is hosted by Bill Cunningham. On June 11th, the moms allegedly were filmed getting ready for the pageant. The next day, they arrived at the studio for the show’s taping. Then came the surprise allegations as the audience went wild and verbally assassinated them. Then it got even weirder. According to the complaint, the kids were backstage as the mothers dealt with the wrath of the studio audience. Cunningham then wanted to bring the children out. Unfortunately, they had gone missing. The mothers searched the greenroom. They say they eventually found their children as one of the show’s producers “intentionally touched (a child) in an unwanted fashion.” The mother refused to go back out. Producers then “began kicking in the door to the greenroom in an attempt to force the plaintiffs back on stage after the plaintiffs had locked themselves in a room to protect their children,” according to the complaint.

Jeremy London’s ‘Do Drugs Or Die’ Story Gets Stranger

Jeremy London’s alleged tale of being kidnapped and forced to take drugs just got weirder. London’s wife, Melissa Cunningham, said her husband’s mother, brother and his brother’s girlfriend have received cease-and-desist notices from the actor’s lawyer. Cunningham said it was done out of fear his family could harm the investigation by speaking to the media. Cunningham also appears to be trying to start an urban legend. She tells RadarOnline that when the police learned of her husband’s story, they weren’t surprised. “Police told us this is the new thing to do down here ... rob people at gunpoint and make them do drugs so they won’t be reliable witnesses,” Cunningham said. “It’s happening more and more.” That’s news to Palm Springs police working the beat where the incident allegedly occurred. “There haven’t been any incidents, that I can recall, of gang members kidnapping tourists with flat tires and then forcing them to do drugs,” Detective Steve Douglas said.

Shannon’s lawyer claims, “Shannon and the decedent continued to have a romantic relationship and engage in romantic and sexual relations.” The lawyer also says they had joint bank accounts, incurred debt jointly, filed joint tax returns, celebrated holidays together and even “fought on occasion.” Price has also submitted a copy of what she claims is a handwritten addendum written by Coleman in 2007, which says she is the sole beneficiary of his estate.

James is facing a civil lawsuit from Fortune Fashions Industries amid allegations he pulled out of a deal to produce a line of garments inspired by his work wear. James’ lawyer filed a request in Los Angeles County Superior Court asking the judge to ban Fortune from making any references to his damaged reputation, which has taken a serious hit since March when Bullock walked out on him after his numerous infidelities were revealed. Then there was the release of controversial pictures showing him posing in military gear and appearing to give a Nazi salute. But none of those controversies will be brought up in the impending trial after a judge granted his lawyer’s motion on Tuesday.

Gary Coleman Will Filed

Gary Coleman’s 1999 will has been filed in Utah and it names Dion Mial, Gary’s friend and former manager, as executor of his estate. The will specifies that Coleman wanted to be cremated and he wants his personal representative to “plan a wake for me conducted by those who have had no financial ties to me and can look each other in the eyes and say they really cared personally for Gary Coleman.” Gary bequeaths “my entire estate to the Trustee of the Millennium Edge Trust.” He is not more specific. Mial claims Shannon Price, Gary’s ex-wife, “has been removing personal property from [Gary’s] home which has not been inventoried or accounted for.” Mial is asking the judge to immediately appoint him special administrator of Gary’s estate so he can give the mortuary a directive to cremate the body. Coleman Rep ‘Appalled’ By Hospital Photos

Gary Coleman’s former agent says he was “appalled” to hear that photos were snapped as the actor lay dying, and then shopped around to the media. “While Gary Coleman’s family continues to privately grieve the passing of their son, they would like to thank all of his fans for their generous support,” Victor Perillo said in a statement yesterday. “This kind, gentle soul left the world with many beautiful memories to cherish. That is why I am personally appalled to hear the news that individuals are selling photos of Gary in the hospital. This is unconscionable and despicable. I would like to praise all the reputable news organizations that declined the offers. I hope others will do the same out of respect and human decency.” Coleman died last week after a brain hemorrhage. He was 42. Several media outlets said they were approached about buying photos taken of Coleman’s last moments alive at a Utah hospital, but declined.

Lohan’s Ankle Monitor Goes Off, Bail Goes Up

Lindsay Lohan’s alcohol monitoring bracelet went off after the actress appeared at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards, getting her in even more trouble. An arrest warrant was issued yesterday for the actress by the same Los Angeles judge who earlier issued a warrant when Lohan failed to show up to court. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel found Lohan violated the terms of her bail and upped her bail to $200,000. A bond was later posted, sparing Lohan from being arrested until a hearing takes place next month. Lohan was fitted with the SCRAM device last month as part of her probation case after two DUI convictions. On her Twitter page, Lohan denies being in violation of bail. “My scram wasn’t set off,” she wrote in a series of Tweets full of misspellings, grammar errors and profanity.

Porn Actor Sought In Slaying Falls To His Death

Stephen Clancy Hill, aka Steve Driver, a small-time San Fernando Valley porn actor accused of attacking his co-workers at Ultima DVD with a sword and killing a fellow porn star last Tuesday, died Saturday after falling some 40 feet from a rocky hillside after a standoff with police. SWAT officers had spent part of Saturday afternoon trying to talk Hill down from the hillside as he clutched a sword. Murder and attempted murder charges had been filed against Hill on Friday after police said he attacked a colleague with a sword that was used as a film prop during a social gathering at Ultima’s studios about a week after being told he was being fired and that he would have to move out of the production facility where he had been living. Fox Fined Over ‘American Dad’ Episode

Seth McFarlane has landed Fox in hot water with the FCC, though this time it is “American Dad” that is the culprit instead of “Family Guy.” It seems several people were offended by a January episode featuring racy dialogue in which it is implied that one character has given a horse an ejaculation. The watchdog group Parents Television Council launched a campaign urging members to file complaints with the FCC. After receiving over 100,000 complaints, the FCC decided to fine Fox $25,000 for its lack of cooperation in the investigation. However, Fox said they were “puzzled” over the FCC’s actions, saying they “responded to all of the questions related to the substance” of the investigation.

Gary Coleman’s estranged parents have abandoned their effort to bury him in his native Illinois after a Utah attorney revealed the actor named an executor in a 1999 will. Salt Lake City Attorney Kent Alderman said he has a will Coleman wrote that he will take to a Utah County court. An attorney for Gary Coleman’s parents, said the person named in the will is Dion Mial, Coleman’s former manager. Sue and Willie Coleman had been seeking to take custody of their son’s body and return it to his boyhood home in Illinois once it was discovered last week that he had divorced wife Shannon Price in 2008. It was Price – who was named in an advanced health care directive – who ordered that Coleman be taken off of life support. His parents have said they learned about his hospitalization and death from media reports. Coleman died May 28th in Utah from a brain hemorrhage at age 42.

Now, after Lindsay Lohan reportedly turned down $1 million to appear on the show, TMZ reports Minnelli has been approached to lead the lineup after allegedly seeking help for alcohol addiction in 2004. Minnelli has “no interest” in doing the show but producers are still attempting to win her over with a figure “in the $500,000 universe.” Tila Tequila, Jason Wahler and rapper Bizzy Bone have all so far agreed to appear on “Celebrity Rehab,” which could go into production later this week if executives manage to lure enough big stars to participate.

New Twists In Gary Coleman Death

It has been revealed that Gary Coleman divorced Shannon Price nearly two years ago, which raises issues about her authority to make final medical decisions on Gary’s behalf. Coleman’s divorce lawyer, Randy Kester, said the couple divorced on August 12, 2008, and as far as he knows they never remarried. Kester didn’t know if Price had a power of attorney to make medical decisions. A hospital official said they have “become aware he may not have been married to her” but she was portraying herself as Gary’s wife and they didn’t require further proof. Coleman suffered a brain hemorrhage and passed away on Friday after Price decided to take him off life support. According to RadarOnline.com, Coleman’s body has been turned over to Utah’s state medical examiner’s office for investigation. Meanwhile, the 911 call Price made two days before Coleman’s death was released yesterday. Price told a Utah emergency dispatcher on May 26th that the actor was bleeding from the back of his head after falling at their home. She also said, “I don’t know if he’s okay. I’m not down there right now because I have a fever, if I get stressed out I’m going to faint.”

Dennis Hopper’s Widow To Fight For His Money

Dennis Hopper died on Saturday after a long battle with cancer, but the actor’s fight with his wife continues. Before his death, Hopper was in the process of divorcing Victoria Duffy, his wife of 14 years. With his death, the divorce proceedings are headed for a probate fight. Hopper wanted to deny his wife the stipulations of their prenup – 25% of the estate and $250,000 in life insurance money. He also claimed Duffy had stolen works of art from his house, including those of Andy Warhol. The divorce, which began in January, was not settled at the time of Hopper’s death. The prenup only gives Duffy a bequest if she and Hopper were married and living together when he died. However, when Hopper died, the two were living in separate homes. Few Show For ‘Jersey Shore’ Casting Call

Recruiters for the MTV reality show “Jersey Shore” said less than 100 people showed up for an open casting call in Atlantic City. Production recruiters said the less small number of hopefuls showed up Sunday during the 9-hour casting call at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, despite team members calling locals and pleading for them to come out. Talent scout Josh Skye Allouche said turnout might have been low due to parties in Atlantic City and Seaside Heights “raging all night long” before the casting call. He said it might also be that casting calls aren’t the best place to find the type of star “Jersey Shore” is seeking. He said he thinks “everyone’s waiting for a personal invitation.”

Sue and Willie Coleman are searching for answers following the death of their son, Gary Coleman. Coleman died Friday in Utah after suffering a brain hemorrhage following a fall. We’re just concerned. Did our son fall down the stairs? Did he fall in the bathtub? We need to have some closure on our son’s life.” The Colemans, who reportedly found out about their son’s death through the media, were unable to contact Gary’s wife, 24-year-old Shannon Price, after receiving the news. “It’s frustrating that we haven’t heard from the Price family. But it’s possible they didn’t even know we existed. Gary may have told her that he didn’t have any family,” Sue said.
